Oddly, Newegg is no longer carrying the regular A8N-E (they have a few refurbs left, but no new ones...) I wonder if this is the end of the A8N-E regular??? And at this point there's no way there's going to be an A8N-E Premium... I'm actually suprised there hasn't been a refresh on...

I don't know if the Premium will have an extra wired LAN port- it is supposed to have Firewire, 802.11g wireless and 4 more RAID SATA ports.

fire inside- I don't remember the details, but I think I remember that the upcoming Venice core Rev E Athlons (on sale starting April 4th) will have upgraded memory controllers that allow for using more dual channel sticks. You might need to get one of those if you're wanting to use more...

http://www.stegpc.com/details.asp?prodid=amd-64-35v By the way, even Winchester cores are built on a 90 nm process with SOI. Venice has SS - strained silicon- in addition to SOI. I suppose there's a chance that the stegpc site is "confused" - although Wincester obviously doesn't have SSE3...

CeBIT is Europe's big annual tech show- it's in Germany. It is one of those 3-4 shows that companies often use to launch products every year. http://www.cebit.de/homepage_e?x=1 ASUS will be there I'm sure. edit: looks like they'll have two booths- anyone want to fly to Germany...

Both the Premium and non Premium are based on the NForce 4 Ultra chipset, correct? If so, then both should be SATA II (3 Gb/s) It's the NForce 4 non Ultra/non SLI that is 1.5 I believe. You'd have to be nuts to buy a motherboard based on the non Ultra/SLI.
