I would personally go for the upcomming Vizio P series 4k tvs. Better image quality with FALD, able to do 60hz instead of 30, and $999 MSRP for 50inch moddel. I just hope it has a displayport connection (fingers crossed) instead of just HDMI 2.0

RAM vs Energy

I've been running with no page file since winxp days. In WinXP you'd sometimes get an error or two in a period of a year, but for win7 I had never had that happen. The only program that would ever bitch about missing pagefile was older versions of photoshop, and even that stopped with the never...

This is what I use, along with "Taylor of Old Bond Street Jermyn Street Luxury Shaving Cream for Sensitive Skin" and it works much better than any disposable razor.

Dell 2410 vs 2412?

2412 also uses a lot less power since it's LED, which is kinda important if you live in places like Texas or California where it's hot enough already :)

Most likely you're locking the multiplier at a set value, preventing Cool&Quiet from kicking in. In that case, try changing BCLK to lower values while undervolting, instead of messing with multiplier.

good scanner for photos.

Don't get canon LIDE scanners, they're crap. Get http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/scanners/film_negative_scanners/canoscan_9000f . It's a lot bigger than LIDE but quality, scanning speed are a lot better.

Upgraded to 12Gb RAM: Still Stuttering!

I've been running with pagefile turned off since winxp days days (1-2gb ram systems). For win7 I used it first on a 6gb system, then 12gb with no issues. The only noticeable difference with pagefile being turned off is that you won't get a crash report if you somehow manage to bluescreen windows...

First of all, I'd just reinstall windows. It tends to get bloated over time, slowing down. Then get firefox/chrome and install adblock; that should take care of most of the freezes when browsing internet by stopping the majority of flash-based adds. 4gb of ram is enough for regular computers...

A modern cell phone can run rings around the OP's pc. Frankly, you're better off just cutting your losses and buying a used PC on ebay, or the cheapest one in store. Whatever you get, it will be at least several times faster than what you have. For example this new one...

Just replace the card. There's no need to live with coil whine when you can easily do that with a new purchase. Either the seller or the manufacturer should be able to accommodate you.

Want to buy a 7970, but will it work with this system and PSU?

He should be able to easily OC that processor without much (if any) increase in power draw. I run my 920 at 3.13ghz 1.02v (down from stock 1.25v).

7970 seems to maintain minimum FPS better than 5xxx-6xxx series, having less of a delta between min-max.

You might also want to pick up its bigger brethren hl-5340D (USB $150), or hl-5370DW (wireless $200). It comes with bigger starter cartridge (2500 pages vs 700), and costs about the same for non-brand refill (8000page refill for $20 last i checked). The parts like drum should last longer too...

You can also set correlizer preferences to 100 on their website, and another project at 0. That should make your PC pickup primarily correlizer's WUs, and only resort to the project set to 0 when it had spare cpu power.
