CMOS battery dying. What are the symptoms?

I've been trying to isolate a problem, and it's getting no where. Everything passes stess tests, mem checks, hard drive tests etc. If the CMOS battery was going bad, what kind of symptoms **could** be occuring, in your experience? I guess I could just check it wtih a volt meter, but still...

Anyone have any ideas? Everything tested passes with no problems. *I haven't tested the HDD. Perhaps I should look at that?

Ok, need some help

Well, I just ran 7 bytes HOT CPU test pro 4 and the CPU passed everything (I ran the test after I posted). So I belive the CPU to be fine and working correctly. I'm going to run memtest now, and see what happens. If the memory passes fine, then I'm really guessing at what could be the...

ram issues?

Have you tried running memtest86? Not that it's foolproof, but it does a much more intensive memory test. If a stick is bad, or prone to errors, I would suspect it would find them.
