Tri Boot

What would be the best sequence to install these three operating systems? I'd like to use some virtualization software so I could run a seperate OS w/in a window. I'll either use: System A Athlon 64 3400 1 GB RAM 6800 Ultra 80 GB Hard Drive System B Athlong X2 4400 2 GB RAM 7800...

SN-P26 Shuttle SLi Cooling Issue

I've bought the new SN-P26 barebones shuttle system and I'm trying to run two 7800GTXs in SLi. They run too hot though. I'm currently just using one in the outtermost PCI-E slot. Has anyone had success? I know Shuttle Systems come with a Graphics Heat Pipe accessory, but the barebones system...

Converting AVI to MOV (Quictime)

I understand that...but ideally, I'd like to be able to organize all my multimedia (.pdf, .mp3, .mov) within iTunes. iTunes doesn't play .divx.

Converting AVI to MOV (Quictime)

I should add that most of the files are divx (mostly tv shows, movies etc.). I've got Premiere...just haven't tried that route. I've got Quicktime Pro as well. I'll give 'em all a whirl, as well as Nero Vision. Thanks.

Converting AVI to MOV (Quictime)

I'd like to convert my .avi files into .mov files so that I can organize them in iTunes. Anyone happen to know of a program that will convert .avi to .mov? Thanks

A8N-SLI Deluxe: "BIOS NOT INSTALLED"

Indeed. There is no SCSI controller. I physically disconnected the SATA controller and it started up fine. Thank you for your help.

My USB keyboard works just the same as my PS/2 keyboard. So, it doesn't matter, cause, I can't get into the BIOS. I can disable the SATA Controller by pressing Crt-A, but that doesn't fix anything. Still says, "BIOS not installed".

I can't boot from the Asus CD (because it doesn't get that far). When you say to disable the "add-on SATA controller", is that something I have to do physically? How do I do that (since I can't get into the BIOS). Thanks.

I took a quick video of the screen on boot up. You'll notice I hit DEL to enter the BIOS, cause it says "Entering BIOS", but it doesn't go into the BIOS, it just continues as it usually does. Video. Thanks.

Yes. I cleared the CMOS. Also, the chip is not missing.

A8N-SLI Deluxe: "BIOS NOT INSTALLED"

I have a A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard. When I start up, it says, "No Int 13 Drives to support", "BIOS not installed!". I can't get into the BIOS, boot from floppy, or anything else. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Underwater Computer

A friend and I are scheming up to construct a computer that will operate from within an aquarium...I know...it's way out there. But I'm looking to coat the motherboard and other hardware in a water-proof solution or "dip." Some kind of plastic or laminate perhaps? I need some ideas...as far...

Dualboot with Longhorn?

Dualboot with Longhorn?

Here's the good news. I got the dualboot working perfectly. And I'm able to use Longhorn pretty well. Are there any drivers I can use for it...premlinary, preview drivers perhaps? Any ideas? Has anyone experimented with this?

I've got 4 harddrives on my system 2 are RAID and contain all my music and video. The main drive (C:) houses applications on Windows XP Pro. However D: is empty. Is it possible to install a newly acquired Longhorn OS on D:? And still keep everything running C:? Will just installing it on D...

I've got several tv shows on my PC that are in widescreen format, but when I use the output to my TV the sides are chopped off. My TV is the stand 4:3, but isn't there a setting somewhere were I can keep a fixed aspect ratio on the video signal to the television? I'm new to nVidia cards, so...

Adding 3rd Hard Drive

I've got a quick question. I've got a Gigabyte K8NSP motherboard with 4 IDE channels. 2 of these may be used for RAID, but I don't plan on using RAID. I currently have 2 WD 80GB on the primatry IDE, and 2 optical drives on the secondary. I want to add a 250GB to my system without losing any...

I bought a PNY 6800 Ultra back in September and loved it, however it went bad a couple months ago and I was recently sent a refurbished replacement. When I installed it yesterday I noticed that the fan seemed really noisy. Is there something I can do to fix the noise, or would an aftermarket...

WindowsXP 64bit Edition: Drivers, Release Candidates, and Availability, Part 2...

I downloaded XP RC2 and proceeded to do a fresh install after I reformatted. It completes the install, and when it proceeds to boot windows for the first time, the system restarts. I've tried different hard drive configurations (RAID 0, No RAID, single HD) etc., and it continues to do the same...
