Is there a way to interface a PCMCIA card to a desktop computer?
I would like to get internet through a PCMCIA wireless broadband card.
Cingular offers this service for laptops. I have no laptop.
Thanks
If you have the extra 50-100 id suggest get a better board. If ur on a really tight budget. then u shouldnt even bother looking at the X1900XL.
All the talk of the voltage problems on the crossfire boards scares me.
What would be the better board?
Thanks for all the help guys. You have made things a lot clearer here.
This forum is great. When I finally get ready for start up I hope all the great help is still around.
I too am tied to music. Play a little guitar and have written a song or two. I have country song now and trying to decide it's destination.
Anyway, I am trying to decide on a motherboard too.
I've just about decided to use the Toledo 64x2 because of the added cache.
:music:
I'm having trouble deciding on a motherboard. OC is not a big thing with me, I just want a
sound reliable system.
I plan to use the ATI All In Wonder x1800xl card.
Someone told me to buy the EPOx Sli BOard and someone suggested the
Asus A8N-Sli Premium Board.
But then someone said don't...

Would anyone have an idea what's going on?

Why do so many of you here choose AMD over Intel?
Asus boards for AMD do not support the faster memory right?
Does that not mean that running the AMD system DDR400 would
be slower than a INTEL chip and board with the DDR2 533 or new fastest?
I plan to start with the Asus...
Gamingphreek,
I hadd planned to put together a computer using:
Intel 800/1066 925ecv2
3.4 ghz
x850xt oem powered by ATI
a gig mem
but as I look thru all the post it seems everyone is using AMD
and Asus boards. Why?
I found a X 850XT for $569.00 Would you please tell me if you think that is a fair price?
I'm really wet behind the ears to this stuff.
I plan to slip the X850XT into a Intel moboard.
However I see so many have been using other moboards instead.
Is the Intel not as good as others out...
Should I hold out till ATI maybe builds a 800 All in Wonder if I want to do things like VIdeo Capture and VCR to DVD video conversions?
Anybody, help me if you can, please.
I plan to put together a new computer using the Intel BOXD925XECV2 board.
Does anyone out there know if this board is ok or not?
I also was planning to use the X850XT VIVO card. Could anyone tell me if this card
has capture capacity? I wanted to be able to convert home vcr movies to dvd...
