I don't think there are any B&M policies in existence that would give you a PM for a price after MIR... At best they can give you a PM for something after instant rebate.
isn't sandisk SD's the ones w/ all the problems w/ data integrity and such?
i've seen tons of reviews on them stating this along w/ user reviews at newegg, amazon, and buy.com just to name a few
i think the fastest you can upgrade the DP 4000 is probably 466mhz cpu from either powerleap or evergreen (those are the only 2 names that comes up when i think about upgrading REALLY old systems and i think those the 466 is the highest either of them made)
as for mobo's.. i'm not quite sure...
so there aren't any coupons floating around out that at the moment that can be used with this?
if there's anything that could push this below $400, it'd be smokin.
god... what fond memories i've got from there...
all the great guys we used to trade w/... doing ref checks via posts... sending out MO's... (no paypal at the time)

<< Using riva tuner, the highest 3dmark has run is 230/530, and that is with some tearing. >>
Gee Bevo, doesn't seem like the eVGA is anywhere close to impressive. @ 230/530, that's about what people with other brand cards are able to go up to. My MSI Ti200 can do 240/520 on stock cooling...
that's funny i'm the exact opposite...
maxtor's have never died on me but wd's always have...
btw i bought these exact drives and card a little while back using circuit city for pricematch to best buy's $93/drive...
these drives kick butt!... i'm using 2 of them on raid right now

unless you are overclocking either abit or asus is fine (overclocking has to be abit)
make sure you have a 300w power supply
get plenty of ventilation cuz it gets really hot
the antec cases are nice... especially their 300w cases

it is suggested that dvd/cd/cdr/cdrw drives be hooked up to the regular controller and not the ata100 if possible... however, ata100 is fully backward compatible whether its u33 or u66
kt7-RAID ... the kt7 can overclock better
if the motherboard allows you to run the memory at a spd separate from the fsb like any VIA board... then you're fine...
if you use pc100 on the kt133 boards... just remember not to choose the fsb+pci clock setting so it won't have the memory on 133...
i have the following also in dual win98/win2k boot

how do i flash the BIOS for the hpt370 chipset?
i got the new beta bios from highpoint and ran it...
all i got was some menu... and each choice didn't flash my BIOS...
i dnlded the file off highpoint's web site ...
unzipped it... and got 2 files and a readme.txt file..
there was "bios" <-no extension
and there was "load.exe"
i ran load.exe and got this menu... tried every option... nothing worked...
what's going on?
hmmm are you running the drives in the same channel?... mebbe you're sharing your hpt370's irq w/ another pci device...
btw how do you flash the bios for the hpt370?... and also... did you use the one from highpoint's site?
KT7 for sure...
if you read around you'll find the general concensus is that KT7 overclocks better...
i've got the RAID version running w/ a couple of maxtor 5400rpm ata100 drives... kicks butt
