Hi
I'm having slow hard drive transfer rates in windows 7 (1-2 MB/s). But when I switch to safe mode, the transfer rates dramatically increase. This phenomenon occurs for SATA to SATA drive transfer and for SATA to USB drive transfer. How can I locate what software is slowing my transfer...
Looking for an external sound card with spdif/optical output to transmit an unprocessed audio signal to my receiver for home theater duties. Also I need the sound card to process the the audio signal well since I will be occasionally using it with my klipsch promedias (computer speaker set with...
Recently heard from friends that I need to have a minimum of 2 years recent work experience to qualify for a home loan? Any truth in that?
I just recently started working 2 months ago. It's a very stable job since its in the healthcare industry.
Your post disgusts me. I could only imagine what kind of personality you have. There's bigger stuff in this world to worry about. It's just a homeless guy trying to make a decent living. At least he is better than those who just wait by the lights with a sign asking for money or those who...
hey guys,
Just a question before I run out and spend 5 bux trying to find a mini screw driver. So i installed my heatsink already but I am questioning if I am getting good contact with the CPU. When you guys installed yours did you guys tighten the screws that were preinstalled already with...
Thanks, I'm thinking that might be the case. I'll try reseating it one day but it's a pain in the a$$ since I'll have to remove everything just to reinstall it. This cpu only costed me 66 bux so I'm not that disappointed.
Funny thing is those rules never apply to previous computers i've had where I just drop in any hard drive whether they have an OS on it or not. Well I tried switching out my IDe cable for the one Abit supplied, and now both drives are running fine. Wonder if it is just an IDE cable issue but...
OK finally got the hard drive to work and suddenly it just detects my ide cd rom drive to install windows. I navigated back to the bios just to see the settings, but i didn't even select an ide optical drive to be one of the boot devices. I have to say this board is very troublesome so far...
Yeh I scrolled all the way to the bottom, last item is disabled. Using a Sony DRu-510A, yes old drive. Yes I set the hard drive as master, CD as slave. Tried other IDe Cables already, which work in my other comp. Also tried to install the OS on the hard drive on another comp, then install...
Under the 1st boot device option I see floppy, ls120/240, hard disk, sata cdrom, zip 100/250, usb-fdd, usb-zip/usb-ls, usb-cdrom, and legacy lan. No mention of an IDE cd rom or just plain old optical drive.
Just started putting my system together and I noticed there is no option to boot from an IDE CD drive. Do I really need to go buy a Sata cd drive or what have you guys been booting from to install Windows?
Trying to find a good monitor for my new build, it'll be for general tasks, web browsing, and and schoolwork, no gaming. What do you guys think is the best bang for the buck 19, 20, and 22 inch monitors these days?
Thanks
I highly doubt that the entire pentium line crushed any k5, k6, k6-2, k6-3. The amd k6 1, 2, 3 was competitive with Intel performance wise. There wasn't a big gap in performance as your post suggests. The AMD processors were priced way less too...
You didn't say anything about price/performance in your original post. You originally claimed a 5-6% difference between c2d and x2. If it's price/performance you are looking for than AMD is competetive clock for clock at stock.
Housing in any big city in CA is expensive. Food is pretty much the same as anywhere else. You will save some bones living in lower class neighborhoods in SD.
Take a look at the Fuji F20, much better camera than the SD1000 and the A570is and the price is a lot better too. Believed Dell had a sale on it for roughly 100 couple days ago. It doesn't have IS, but it has a SuperCCD for high ISO which pretty much basically does what IS does and gives you...
You guys are probably thinking about the traditional method (Illizarov), using a screw and rotaing it everyday. However the newer methods of inserting an internal device to lengthen your limbs such as Fitbone has been documented to be much less painful, have less potential for complications...
