NEED DDR MEMORY

Fry's has 2 1GB sticks of Kingston value RAM for $70 AR. Decent price for DDR. I considering using these with an Opteron 170 (socket 939). Anyone know whether these will overclock OK with the Opteron?

Socket 939 upgrade question

Thanks everyone. I?m going to go with the Opteron and overclock. The 165 is $100 and the 170 is $120 at Newegg. I?ll be using air cooling with the XP-120 heatsink we currently have. Can someone suggest specs needed for a pair of 1gig memory sticks that will support the OC? Fry's has a pair...

Clone SATA RAID 0 to single parallel ATA drive

fans and fan controller advise

If Im not using a controller, where can I get a resister mod to undervolt the Yate Loon D12SL12 to be similar to the Nexus fans? I found this but it only drops to 9V. Don't the Nexus run at 7v?

A8N32 SLI heatpipe upside down in Lian Li?

I had planned on installing more intake fans either on the side panel directly over the GPU and CPU areas, and possibly in the front instead of 3 removable drive bays These would look great if you are willing to give up 2-3 drive bays EX-23 EX-34

Asus A8N SLI Deluxe w/ XP-120 in Lian Li PC-V1000

Vertiggo, he is asking about the A8N-SLI Deluxe not the A8N-SLI Premium or the A8N32-SLI which have the heat pipes. I currently have the A8N-SLI (no heat pipes) with the V1000 and the XP-120. Not a lot of room to spare but it does fit.

HDD Cage mods

How about starting with one of these to save some work EX-23 EX-34 Holds 3 or 4 drives and has bonus of fan to keep the drives cool. These are made for mounting in the 5.25" bays but you could just discard the Al front

:thumbsup: I got one from frys for $5 during BF sale, but after checking out the reviews, I decided not to use it. Wasn't worth the risk. Got a Seasonic instead and the Ultra X is headed for ebay to get rid of it.

Quiet PSU recommendation
