How good are Sony laptops? I just went to best buy and bought (but havent opened) a Sony VGN-C140G/B Laptop for $799 and was wondering if it was a good idea or bad.. The specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66Ghz 1GB PC2 4200 Memory 13.3" WXGA with XBRITE-ECO and 1280x800 resolution...

newegg does say 1080P. 2 places Recommended Resolution 1920 x 1080 and R/F input: 2 (air/cable) Component video input (Y,Pb,Pr) (480i/480p/720p/1080i/1080p): 2 they just forgot to put it in the area u mentioned. It is a 1080P display,

so the only REAL disadvantage is the burn in???? the most I would ever play in 3hours at a time....... Every once in a while..... LCD is just alot more expensive, and the contrast ratio isnt as good

I read that the 970P was a 6bit monitor, but i was curious, is the 971P the same thing (but better contrast ratio)? or is it a true 8bit? thanks

so the arctic cooling freezer 7 pro is alot quieter than stock HSF? if so im buying today! :)

Bought a E6400 and the stock HSF is loud. I am not planning to overclock, so I was looking for a HSF that was quieter but cooled just as well, if not better than stock. I also dont want to spend more than $30 shipped.... Thanks for any advice

I just build a new computer E6400 Conroe P5B Deluxe 2x 1GB DDR2 800 Samsung memory Nvidia 7900GTX SB X-FI Anyways, when I install my memory in dual channel configuration, I actually get TAD slower framerates (not much), and sisoft sandra says my memory bandwith is exactly the same...

Main purpose of my computer is for playing games... I currently have some Creative 2.1 speakers, but I might eventually get some headphones.... (nothing to fancy though, I would never spend more than $100 on headphones). Would I notice any difference going from a Audigy 1 to a X-FI? Thanks :)

New monitor - ViewSonic VP930 or Samsung 970P

I have samsung 970.. here is my PROs and CONs PRO GREAT image quality - the colors are so vibrant. Very little to no ghosting no backlight bleeding Good viewing angles. CONs height adjustment (doesnt go that high) only 1 port for input. you cant have 2 things hooked up to it...

its not only BeHardware. Cnet said it to... (that the colors werent very good on vP930B.. im a little dissappointed but its not big deal if the samsung is 6bit.. it just makes me feel i spent $500 on a pretty case (and no backlight bleeding)... but what i can see its still a very pretty...

i dont ever watch DVDs on my monitor. way to small :-p so i didnt care about the DVD score. everything else is what was important to me and it scored being the best of the best also according to that review AND cnet.com the 970Ps color quality is excellent. and the VP930B is poor......

according to this review the colors on this monitor are really good (did test etc) so.... review but if it is really 6bit (besides that website any other proof? or is this a general thing that everyone knows with the 970P?) then how come they charge so much for it? i mean dont 6bit...

if it is 6bit with dithering. how come the colors seem so mcuh better than my old monitor? also... how come there website claims 16.7million colors (which i thought always meant 8bit while 16.2 meant 6bit with dithering)

my first 3D card (and i think it was $300) was a VOODOO RUSH. Had 2D and 3D on 1 card! :-P (i knew nothing about video cards back then, but it sure made all my games purty :)
