Why would you even want to use q-fan if you have speedfan? Just disable it in bios and set the target temperature for speedfan instead.

My 2.53 OCed 3500+ has higher temps since the install of a BFG 6800u, and also my volts fluctuate to much in CPU-Z

As for the BIOS part. I meant that when you boot your computer press del, or whatever gets you to your BIOS. Then while in there unplug your hard drive powe cable and listen to the noise difference. Then you can just plug it back in and boot the computer. It would give you an image how much...

Agreed. XP-120 with nexus 120 real silent fan would give a really nice performance and is propably as silent as you can go with air (although the fan would need a slight modification so that it can be fitted to the heatsink). However XP-120 doesn't fit every case and motherboard. Zalman is...

I have read that when you OC, you should disable c&c from bios. Can you turn it back on, when you have done the actual overclocking, or does it have some negative effects on a overclocked system?

Correct. Crucial Ballistix is relatively cheap, if you are european that is. 2 x 512mt pc-3200 would cost me 214 euros including shipping. When as Kingston Valueram 1024MB/1GB Kit 400MHz cl3 would cost 180e including shipping from the biggest web store in Finland... Would be worth the money...
