    Asus Rma, still do not have mobo back!

    I don't have a lot of experience with Asus RMA's, all I know is that I RMA'd a K8V board five weeks ago and still haven't heard a peep from Asus. Let's hope I hear from them sooner or later :(

    You lucky devil :D I immediately ordered a Zalman heatsink for it and within four days (before the Zalman arrived) it was already making grinding noises. I hope Asus sued that component maker, that fan was awful.

    won't reboot without clearing cmos

    You get that icon probably because of the presence of a hot swappable SATA drive. Click on the icon and see if it mentions which device you can "unplug", and if you want to get rid of that icon, try hiding it (taskbar properties, "Customize")

    The latest SATA drives ARE hot swappable. My Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe even came with a backplate which allows you to hook 2 SATA drives up externally. That's why you get the safely remove icon.
