    How do I get my street known?

    See if you can add it to the maps via Tele Atlas' Map Insight - http://mapinsight.teleatlas.com/mapfeedback/index.php It would presumably update (if accepted as a legit correction) with newer TomTom map updates and with Google Maps. It might take a while, but its worth a try!

    Is the pun intended there? Seems like TomTom has the better deal with the entire NA maps, and that they are Tele Atlas instead of Navteq. Google maps recently dropped Navteq as a map provider - anyone read about that?

    GPS in the car problem

    I had a serious issue with my TomTom ONE XL and the car charger it came with. It would always short out when I plugged it into the lighter, and I had to reset it. What I did was get another car charger, and that helped. Both of our situations point to faulty individual car charger cables...

    Tele Atlas and Google recently partnered up, so inconsistencies like these are soon to be extinct, IMO. Google Maps is still one of the best map data systems, even without the help of Tele Atlas.

    I always felt that the mapshare feature was used more heavily by TomTom owners... I mean its probably one of the best TT exclusive features that makes their brand unique. That pic above of the GO 720 dismantled - nice. It looks just as good on the inside as on the outside.

    Nah, I wouldn't say they are minivans with regular doors! Minivans have a totally different feel to them, the Journey crossover is very different in that you probably don't feel so old when you drive it.

    I like how you can enter a thread expecting to talk about the latest crossover and end up chatting about rock bands. I personally liked Journey, thought they were a good band. While the crossover might not be quite as rockin, its still an impressive value.

    I know I've heard the word on the street about TeleAtlas... all I know is that I've used TomToms and have had really great luck with them. Whats your take on that 720? I know that one has a ton of great features.

    I don't think it would get in the way... sitting in one is always different from a picture you see. See the thing that is saving the Journey is the fact that its a bargain compared to the other similar crossovers. Also, you're not purchasing one of these anyway for its amazing interior...
