    I'm an undergrad. Looking at the first problem again, the MOSFET is saturated since its tied to 16V. Use the saturation equation for current. You should be able to pick a value for the source resistance and go from there. BTW, I didn't mean to sound like a jerk.

    I disagree. I worked with architecture students before, and let me tell you, they have it easy. I would have to say EE and CE have the most work to do. Sleep is abnormal. If you are an EE or CE, and you sleep well, something must be wrong.

    The only time you will see chemistry again as an ECE is when you start learning about silicon MOSFETS. ECE students don't take organic chemistry unless you are doing some bioE or chemE.
