"Judges Question Bid to Stop Cheney Suit"

Bottom line is? Things are fine as long as someone else has done the same wrong things and hasn't been convicted!? or Most politicians are corrupt and even the ones who are not have to become corrupt because of the way the 'democratic' governong system in the western world works!?

"Judges Question Bid to Stop Cheney Suit"

The way things are with politicians and with the current state of 'democracy' (in the suposedly democratic countries) no wonder that the number of people who vote diminishes in every next election! Maybe in the long term that is actully great, hopefully at some stage say a 30% turnout may create...

Asus v8200 Deluxe or Gainward Powerpack!!! ?

I think they performa roughly the same, and the price seems to be very close. They even have the same Vi-Vout Philips Chipset. Bearing in mind the above, i know this may sound silly or whatever, but if i had the money, i'd love to get the Gainward if not for another reason just for its looks !!!!

    Upgrading Computer - Need Help

From what i have read, the Abit VP6 should be the best option. Especially if you are thinking of using eide raid and overclocking. Then again, if you wait a bit you could get one of the new ddr dual boards.

Poll: Damn! My Alpha PEP66 just broke! Should I get an Alpha PAL6035 or a FOP38?

There are a number of places where you can find socket cooler reviews, anandtech, www.overclockers.com, hardocp.com etc etc If you don't mind the noise, then of course you can try the FOP38, although from what i have seen in various reviews its clip is one of the worst around. Another option...

Abit KT7A: O/C limited by I/O Voltage? How high are people's I/O Voltage?

Whether you increase the multiplier or the fsb, the voltage that usually requires tweaking is the vcore voltage. The vio voltage supplies the memory and the AGP. Both should increase stability, but vio is usually used in order to enhance the signal to the memory. I used to use 3.6V vio in order...

AMD Processors and Intel Processors - Facts and Fiction

Intel is GREAT !!! AMD is GREAT !!! And the best thing for the end user is that they both exist and are at each others throat ! So the prices are kept down. Pitty that Matrox or ATI haven't managed the same with Ndivia, then graphics cards prices would be down as well !!!

Get one of the fans that were usded for 486 cpu's, 40 mm fans, some screws and screw it on thechipset heatsink. You can also sunstitute the chipset heatsink if you like. You can even put a heatsink and a fan on the clock generator, that is the chip located a litle to the left above the blue...

Nice Problem but wierd, 12.5x 100=1300MHz on K7T Pro ????

Are the cpu's you have 1.2 or 1.1 T-birds ? Some of the 1.2 Gb T-birds have 1.3 cores, according to posts here and there these are red and do exactly that, when the multiplier is set at 12.5 they add about 5 fsb to get to 1.3 GHz. Probably an AMD little trick to avoid increasing the multiplier...

    CPU Cooler: Suck or Blow??

You can easuly test which is the better configuration by testing the two different options yourself. Theoretically speaking, when the fan is sucking, air from the region around the heatsink enters the heatsink and then exhausts from the top of the fan away from the heatsink towards the case...

    Any 760 mobos available yet?

I suggest you wait untill eager users fullfil their thirst to carry out 'free beta testing' for the AMD 760 chipset. Wait untill you see the coplaints on various places online, wait untill there are 2 bios updates and then think about buying any 760 motherboard or indeed any motherboard.

    Chipset Recommendation and M/B

If you don't want to stay with intel, you have the following options : 1) Get an Abit KT7 (Via KT133 chipset)and an AMD T-bird at 1 GHz (that should cost you less than the cusl2 and a piii 800 or even p iii 750) and you can also connect the L2 bridges of the T-bird and overclock it, you can also...

    Chipset Recommendation and M/B

You have already choosen the cpu, so there isn't really too much to choose in terms of motherboards and chipsets ! i810 motherboards are a joke, BX motherboards are very fast but with the lack of 1/2 mode for the AGP thus they are a bit restrictive. So all you're left with is the i815...

Problems with the MSI Pro2A. MSI might recall them back

Mybe it is time consumers stop jumping into things the moment there is a good review. Wait untill others test the motherboard for free for the manufacturing company. Wait until at least two bios updates and then go for it ! And that holds for Asus, Abit, MSI, Aopen ... etc etc etc

Just bought some Mushkin memory...need some help on choosing mb and processor.

Why don't you wai untill the KT133A motherboards come out ? Add to one of the T-bird 850 guarantted to 1GHz+, take the multiplier down to 8 and the fsb to 133 and hopefully you can get to 1064 MHz.

My own tests show that it keeps both the cpu idle and full load and motherboard temperatures around 1 degree celsious cooler than the Alpha pal with a 24cfm Sunnon. Can't run Crucial CL2 memory at 2/2/2 5/7??

Can You Fry a Retail Chip (by O'cing) and Still Get A Replacement from Intel?

If the cpu gets damaged through oc'ing and there are no visible markings on it, i doubt it whether intel or amd or anyone can proove it was oc'ed. So, yes, it is a matter of 'morals'. Then again 3 months ago a piii 550 costed what a piii 750 costs today, and probably they both have the same...
