A friend has a computer with the only hard drive named (G: ) instead of (C: ). I'm guessing this was caused by a flash reader taking (C: ) first. Is there a way to re-name the hard drive to (C: ) without installing windows from scratch?
I just had a friend call me and say that when he tries to open certain documents he sometimes gets this error message: "g:\documents does not exist"
He is using:
Windows XP SP2
Athlon 2700
7600gs
120GB HD
Any ideas are appreciated.

Get this if you plan to use a monitor with a dvi plug ( it's $3 more, why not?)

This is the best pci card I'm aware of. It will be bottlenecked by the pci bus, so it won't be as fast as the agp/pci-e versions.
If you plan to overclock get this one:

You'll need a bios update for a brisbane cpu however.
This DFI board will get you the best overclocking but it may need a bios update to support a brisbane cpu... Something you should look into. If so, DFI might ship you a bios chip for free.
These seem like a pretty good deal:

At idle with nothing open and aero disabled, mine uses over 600MB. I'd say the minimum is 768MB (512+256) to run most applications smoothly with no disk swapping, 1GB if your a big multi-tasker.

The Dual-VSTA is a completely different motherboard.
I can't get mine working properly either, had to switch back to XP. I won't be buying anything from ASRock again.
It could be an "eddy current":

I had the same problem with my previous computer. It would often reboot or hard lock when I touched it. After changing out many parts I noticed it would only do it when the monitor was within around a foot from the...
