I know that the P4c is better for photshop, but will it make any difference whether I have a P4c 2.8 with 512 mb RAM or an Athlon XP 2600+ with 1024 MB Ram?? (I usually work with 3 MB tiff-files or 1 MB jpg-files)
I think that an Athlon64 3000+ will cost me almost twice as much as an XP 2600+...
I RMA'ed the card and they could not replace it with a similar card, so I got a Sapphire 9600 pro Ultimate instead.
I hope that it is a descent replacement.

The boot process continues and the pc works ok, but the CPU Fan is not spinning and the alarm keeps sounding.
I plugged the CPU fan on the Power Fan pin on the Motherboard to keep the CPU cool and the alarm is still going.

Is there a way to make CD-RW good as new? or is the process irreversible? If so. how many times can they be reused?

One reason could be an uneven flow between the pins, which could lead to a perfomance at the same level as aircooling or even worse, you could end up with a heatsink with very uneven temps across the surface??

As long as teflon and fine mineral oils are the main lubricating substances I) you'll do fine;)
But I am not an engineer specialized in lubricants, I have only done some work in organic chemistry.

I am not sure that using WD40 is such a good idea, WD40 is basically a solution of heavy crude oil(nafta) in a mixture of organicsolvents!
After the solvents have evaporated the heavy crude oil is left behind.
I would use an acid free mineral oil, like the one used for fine mechanical devices...
I have read somewhere that the 1.4 GHz T-bird Runs very hot, are the XPs running cooler?
