Good or bad time to buy a MBP?

I'm waiting also, my Apple time capsule already has ac Wi-Fi... The only major complaint is please Apple, offer a cellular option so when I'm on the road tethering will no longer be necessary...

Macbook Pro 15" Retina Worth It?

How is everybody doing with the retina display being glossy ? My trusty old 17" MBP has a matte finish screen so no distracting reflections, unfortunately it can't be upgraded to Lion...

Which CPU would you choose ?

Ok, lot's of great input and advice. Wasn't aware the Xeon W3690 Gulftown 3.46GHz had a locked multiplier ? (Deal breaker) Not to interested in Sandy Bridge because chipset won't support dual 16x PCI-E for my crossfire GPU set-up... (Currently CPU and GPU's are liquid cooled to not only allow...

Crysis gives me the option of playing in 64 Bit, however Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars do not ? What gives ?

BOOTMGR is missing

Problem solved ! Thanks for your help Magnus... You pointed me in the correct direction and you were right, it was'nt the BIOS at all... Finally resorted to "zero filling" the 1 GB HDD (931 actual)... Took 40 hours, then O/S loaded just fine... Again thanks...

Yes, F10 save and exit... May have wipe the Hard Drive (1 GB) totally clean with my Max Blast 3.6 booting from floppy drive... One more thing, when BOOTMGR is displayed on LCD monitor screen, the LCD poster (ASUS cool thingy) displays "DET IDE"... Hope this helps ?

BOOTMGR is missing

Win. 7 Ultimate 64 bit... If I install OS disk the DVD drive will not spin up... In BIOS set-up the boot priority is set to DVD Rom as first, tried reboot several times still no success... This computer has worked great for two years ! First with Win. XP Pro, Then with Win. 7 since last fall...

LCD's for TV viewing have progressed from 60Hz to 120Hz and now to 240Hz refresh rates ? What about computer monitors ? Anyone have any input about this ? :confused:

Been looking through IE-8 post comments before updating from IE-7... The general consensus seems to be in favor of IE -8 being a winner... Security is being touted as better by MS... :light:

QX9650 CPU's

Thanks, but I can't use more than 4 GB of DDR3 Ram at 1600 Mhz with this Intel DX48BT2 motherboard so am going to use 8 GB of DDR3 Ram at 1333 and simply raise the CPU multiplier instead... Currently using the new Koolance Quad radiator with the new 330 CPU cooling block...
