were you unaware of the massive fire sale HP ran on their touchpads? Maybe you could consider picking one up on craigslist or ebay. Shouldn't cost much more than a nook
Been using mine exclusively in landscape mode with no issues. Can either fold the flap back and have the touchstone charge through two layers, or let the flap just lie out in front of the desk

This thing looks gorgeous. Probably the most aesthetically pleasing laptop I've ever seen, but LOL at the insane price tag. Also, isn't a Q4 release a bad idea with the next Intel and NVIDIA mobile...
Installed preware and some patches. Loving it so far. My only gripe is with the official HP case. I like the way it fits on the touchpad but I can't seem to use the touchpad comfortably with the flap hanging around
People who ordered from B&N really shouldn't be too hopeful. I was pre logged into the website and placed an order literally seconds after B&N went live (around 9:25 PST) and I received a cancellation around 2AM PST.
I agree and I think $250-300 is right around the right price I would pay for a quality tablet. I don't expect Apple to release one in that price range though since that would put it in the same price-range as their iPod Touch.
What this really shows is that there's a huge market for current technology going for 1/3 the manufacturing cost. Apple would never built a tablet for $199 at this point in time because the corners they'd have to cut to reach that price range (same price range as a Kindle 3G) would result in a...
Maybe not a standard photo frame, but a photo album perhaps? Obviously not the norm with other families, but we have relatives over several times a year that like to flip through old photo albums. We actually just had a birthday last month for a 1 year old and were passing around a 1st gen...
There's will always be a market for quality, name-brand, CURRENT tech selling for 1/3 the manufacturing cost. Is that what you meant to say? I don't think the chipads are in particularly high demand.
It's been stated that they took a $100 million hit on the TouchPads, but I think that's the figure for the hardware alone, not including Marketing, R&D, or software
Picked up a 3rd 32gb TP for $141. Long live WebOS!!
Also, massive kudos to HP's server. Probably millions of people accessing the site and it never slowed down for me.
WOW! SlickDeals is literally exploding. Managed to get two of these myself through Academy for $142 each after tax/CA recycle with the 30 off 150 coupon
3S is far from balanced, but balancing the game at this point in it's life would be a massive disservice to the hard core fans that have kept the game alive for all these years.
As for AE.. well even Capcom has admitted they could have done a better job in balancing the characters.
Balancing an MMO like WoW doesn't really have a lot to do with balancing a fighting game. Most anyone who takes fighters just a step above the casual level will realize that a stratified tier list will always exist. People who main specific characters that aren't top tier, probably don't even...
Bruce Lee, Navy SEALs, Green Berets, whatever else elite military units without legit MMA training would get demolished in the octagon against the elite MMA fighters of today under MMA rulesets
A street brawl, however, it could go either way.
The balance patch is free.
A free balance patch to ensure more characters have a fighting chance.. I'm not going to disagree with that. Only issue is that Capcom tends to take a very eccentric approach to balancing games (as they've done with the SSF4 ---> AE transition)
Either way, I don't...
I own KOTOR II as well, but I've read the game doesn't work well on Win7. KOTOR ran fine, but I had the "Best of PC" copy and I still had to run a bunch of tweaks to get the game to run properly.
Just finished KOTOR for the 1st time after many years of on and off playing. Can't believe I've stayed oblivious to the Leviathan spoiler after all these (best spoiler evar!!) I'm really excited for TOR now.
Mass Effect 1 and 2 were both amazing games. Even though I was literally falling asleep during the first 3 hours of ME1, once the story picked up, I couldn't stop playing and found myself doing every mission and visiting all the planets. I enjoyed ME2 immensely for the improved game play and...
Skimmed this thread, mostly to avoid possible spoilers. I've been waiting for the PSone Classic to hit PSN in the US, but what do you guys consider to be the best version of FF6?
Wii VC version of FF3 is now out.. How is this comparable to the PSone version (minus load times)?
What about the...
