I am currently saving my money to buy just one 7800 gtx 512. I was going to buy a 7800 gtx but decided to once again hold out for the 512 edition. I have had the same video card for 2 years now and have decided that I deserve something to enjoy and fiddle with. I own a sony 24 inch monitor and...
i used to be a die hard antec psu fan... i bought like 4 in a row even... then i switched to a 600 watt seasonic and its great... really quite good psu... seriously think about it

then generally speaking... your not going to have the best of the best when it comes to video... dont expect to have the best if your not willing to spend a couple hours switching a motherboard
wow this is just great. I wonder if the poster of this thread even thinks that or just wanted to start a war... either way... what were you thinking
On a second note... ill take
1. Current avaliability
2. Evga step-up program
3. Liftime warrety covering everything
4. Evga small heatsink...
once again im not as worried about money as i am getting the best hard drive... but that doesnt mean i wanna drop 500 dollars on one... for these reasons the WD with ncq seems very nice...
warrentys dont concern me... but you are very right about having reliability being a big factor over speed since it is a storage drive. For this reason i am settleing with the Western Digital 400gb. It has the speed, space, price, and reliability im looking for.
i have a 80mm intake, and 2 120mm fans sucking air through a radiator and into the case, and a 120mm exhaust... based on reading that forum again it seems that having more intake is good for this powersupply... guess i wont change it!
alright well thats good to hear... this is going to be used mostley as a storage drive so i want something that can transfer data very quickley... i also might put a copy of windows on it just incase one of my raptors fails or something but that would only be for backup... the noise of my...
Well i recently decided to get the antec truecontrol II 550w but i found this thread regarding a needed fan change, or at least reccomended.

Can anyone reccomend a fan better than this one...
yes i get it but im still confused on which drive to get... the seagate does look very promising when looking at these benchmarks
http://www.tomshardware.com/storage/20050317/seagate-05.html
but unfortunatly those new western digitals arnt on it... any other opinions?
so the fact that the Seagate 400Gb 7200.8 only has an 8mb buffer, maximum transfer rate of 100 MBytes/sec, and only Ultra ATA/100 still makes it better than all those others that i listed?
so does hitachi i think... but i only want one of the ones listed...
i also found this WD that has the 300 MB/sec maximum transfer rate but i herd it doesnt make much of a diffrence...

Well right now i have two 74 gig raptors in raid on a asus sli premium and its just not enough space. So i went off looking for a bigger drive. I eliminated a good amount of the compitition by factoring out anything with less than a 16mb buffer which left me with a few choices that i would...
take a look at the cavalier without the analog panel in front... best case out there in my opinion
buy a window panel for your wavemaster if you havent already... then i would get some xoxide cathodes and mount them with the included velcro on the left and right of the window... just dont...
this is a problem i encountered as well with my printer...
try updating the firmware if possible... and try using it on another computer to make sure it is the scanner... (that auctally ended up being my problem)
if all else fails call canon
cpu no question....
extra 512 of ram wont do bull... maybe it will help with like 1 or 2 video editing things...
auctally i was thinking about it and why just not save your money... look at case fans or other better stuff... whats your hole computer?
frys has a lot of good deals... i dont know where your from...
theres also a semi local computer shop that i cant remember the name of that used to have pretty good deals...
but your right most local places dont have good prices at all... they dont buy in bulk... and as you said they need...
from what ive herd from people at work is that there are programs that you can use to make images of your hard drive, so there not to big, and use that instead of reformating and stuff...
personally im kind of glad when i get a really big error or something because it forces me to format and...
they biggest myth is that a more expensive or diffrent thermal paste will help you in any way..... its wont... but if you wanna be picky or want an expensive known kind
artic silver 5
why in gods name would you need that much space... nm but its still alot
get a maxtor 300gb drive with a 16mb buffer
sacrifice some room for some speed
then honestly i would try and wait for the x-fi... according to toms hardware its supposed to be really a step up...
and if you dont think you need the breakout box or front panel (for fiberoptic or remote control or a closer microphone port...) then by all means just get the audigy 2 zs...
get the cavalier without the analog front panel thing... looks wayyy more sexy..
