How to dislpay POST screen in Shuttle ST20G5?

I have a Shuttle ST20G5 small form factor PC, and for the life of me I can't get the POST screen to display (it always shows the boot splash image). I've gone into the BIOS, but there's no option to turn on the POST diagnostic screen. Does anyone know how to force the POST screen to display...

Will old heat sink (Athlon64 3000+) work with new CPU Athlon64 X2 4200+?

I have a Shuttle system that uses socket 939, and is running on a Athlon64 3000+ core right now. I'm thinking of upgrading to the X2 4200+ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?Item=N82E16819103053). It's OEM, so it doesn't come with heatsink and fan. But I should be able to just reuse those...

Garmin nuvi 350 - $350 + S/H @ Costco.com

Damn that's cheap for the Nuvi 350. I'm holding out for the 660 to drop in price (to near $500), but this deal is very tempting right now. Does anyone know if Garmin is planning to slash prices on all existing models to usher in their new 300 and 600 models?

Just ordered one of these, but LavidDichterman's post has got me worried. Is there a good procedure to stress test on the drive before putting real data onto it? I'm thinking of filling it up to 99% capacity and then run scandisk or something.

OT: Has RAM prices not been going down?

I believe I bought set of Dual Channel DDR 400 Mhz (1 gig total) RAM for close to $100 more than a year ago (summer 2005). I'm now looking to upgrade (to 2 gigs), but find that not only are there no apparent hot RAM deals, but the current price for the same RAM I bought is about the same as 1...

Best USB2.0 cardbus adapter for laptop

Zepper: sorry bout the double post.. Googer: I couldnt' find it... Know of any other sites that has reviews/information on USB 2.0 pcmcia cards? For now, my most pressing question is will installing USB 2.0 ports on my laptop disable the old USB 1.1 ports?

Trick to turn USB 1.1 ports into USB 2.0 ports?

Alright, so I've got one person that doesn't outright bash the possibility. I'm curious now, have you presonally seen this this happen? How can I tell if my mobo supports USB 2.0? I got my laptop (Dell Inspiron 8200) right before USB 2.0 became popular on laptops.

Trick to turn USB 1.1 ports into USB 2.0 ports?

He claimed that if I plug in a high capacity USB 2.0 device to my USB 1.1 ports, Windows XP would detect it and automatically download a driver that would effectively speed up my USB 1.1 ports to 80% of USB 2.0's capacity. Can anybody confirm this "trick" or is this BS?
