    Oldtimers Sound Off

Battling for the first place @ RC5 sure was fun, hope to be able to do that at other projects some time :) Who remembers the phantom flusher? My entire RC5 stats (and fun) got @#$% by him...

OGR guys, What's the hot lick?

Why not create a database system and produce somthing like our DPCH's (including milestones), ask the forum management for HTML rights for selected users, and post them on a daily basis ? (Example of one of our DPCH's here)

How can we unite to Squash the great army of the DPC - Edited to reduce negative impact.

looking at your 'statement' from another side, why is it that when any thread is started by a reletive "newbee" on your forums containing both the words TA and DPC you allways imply foul play / flaming / covert operations by an unnamed party ? (and I think it is fair to presume you...

Genome@home update - DPC catching up fast

hmm, I'm not keeping TA memberss personal score in the database. I could, it might be fun. Anyhow, with my two computer massive power I can beat anyone cracking genome@home (once I can figure out how to send them back in time and have them crack with -nonet for a couple of 100 years :D)

Genome@home update - DPC catching up fast

We are catching up quite nicely :) I've plotted our progress into this little graph here. The gap is now around 6500 units, so we are looking at 2 to 4 weeks to change positions as hunter and hunted :D.

    Greetings from The Netherlands :-)

if the RC5 key is found we still have to take the #1 position in OGR (about a month from now we will be there anyway I think), do some fighting over at UD, G@H, EECP (we are steaming in all those projects, either growing rapidly or allready one of the top players :)) and various other projects...

    Greetings from The Netherlands :-)

seti is a nice place to do some real battling with all the big company's and over a million participants involved. I wonder if the seti@netherlands team, that has come really far allready, is ever going to make it into the top 10 :)

    Greetings from The Netherlands :-)

when your team has 5500 members with ages ranging from 12 to 60 I'll remind you you made that remark ;)

    TaCube ... pardon me .-)

I happend to click on your link to the proxy and noticed a nobody@* flushing close to 30.000 wu. Seems like quite a waste to me. Since the adress resolves to six-of-six.tara-lu.com I would advice the involved to "check your clients" this probably had been said before, but hey it just...

The guys at Dnet are masters of understatement.

we HAVE lost massive amounts in the megaflushes. MASSIVE amounts. But it still was worth the fun :)
  16. D

How do you get ppstats to display the dnet pproxy buffer levels ?

you can simply download the Stappel enhanced PPstats (going to be ppstats 8.0 in the near future I believe) Excample: my proxy Download: I'm not 100% sure but I think this is the one

A Little Information about the Dutch

our coffee is how coffee is meant to be :). The coffee I get served in the US is usually so weak I have to order an American double espresso and still fail to wake up (while, on the other hand, a double espresso anywhere in rural Italy makes me wake up for the next 72 hours, which is not a good...

    Oh, so close guys!

All 16 million dutch cows were celebrating yesterday, no one was paying attention to their herds :) Since it was an official day off and a traditional partying-drinking-having-fun-day our RC5 production was the least of our concerns :)

What is IRC for a thingy ? Can anybody join ? :P

Why I won't upgrade to the latest client when it's released.

I'll stick with the fastest client on all machines I have direct acces to (like my own workstation). The "networked" computers are staying @ 8010 for a long long time, downgrading 50 clients by hand was a menace :(.

DPC cause Dnet proxy blockage! (Anyone surprised?)

THERE ARE NO ORGANISED TEAM-WIDE MEGAFLUSHES. distributed.net blaiming us with entheusiasme is just ideotic. And yes, I'm pissed. They have started a thread on our forum with factual incorrect information, after all the work and effort we put in for them. Now there is a bug in a client, to bad...

Watch Out! My keyrate will soon own yours!

BK: they just changed the rules and started checking a little better/more often. Used to be 16 for light alcoholic, and 18 for the stronger stuff (but without any real control), now it is 18 for the lighter drinks (but hey, these rules are ment to be bent ;)) and 21 for the liquor. Young kids...
