I've flashed the bios to v1009 and it still is a little unstable... although I jumped the voltage on the RAM to 2.85v and it is lot more stable and it runs SiSoft non stop and no longer messes up yet Prime95 drops it in just a few minutes.

I have the Asus a7v880 as well... I am having the same issues with an AMD 3200+ and 1gb Corsair XMS Extreme pc3200... i had to set the timings as high as possible to get the board to completely post and allow me to install windows... further investigation has lead me know where.. anyone find...
