    did you assign it a letter? depending on your flavor of windows, sometimes the drive letter needs to be manually assigned in device manager.

    I've got an old Maxtor drive (80gb) from 2003. as far as I can tell it's working but it's only showing me 7.9gb of space. I've filled the thing with zeroes and all i get with partition magic is a 7.9gb unformatted chunk. is this thing caput? or is there something else i can do?

    That's interesting, would there be a way to prompt "disable screenshots" as you open the file? as for taking pictures using a camera, well yah, there's no avoiding that, but that would inevitablly create distortion and a loss of quality.
