    Thanks for commenting. Far as I can tell, they are the same RAM modules as the one that came installed - that's why I purchased them. Were even advertised as Dell replacements. Granted, I didn't order from Dell ... but the specs/brand matched. My next step will be to verify each one works...

    I just bought a pair of 4GB Hynix modules, but this Dell isn't recognizing one. Still only have 4GB according to Win7. :confounded: Mein kampf. Not sure whether to blame the motherboard or the seller of the RAM. I can't even get into the BIOS on this thing, to check memory config.
