Doing my first build and got ahead of myself and bought the processor first.Motherboards that are available now don't support the San Diego without a bios update and i don't have a old a64 processor to get started so i need to find a motherboard that is easy to flash right from the start with...

I'm building my first computer and want to use the 3500 but dont know what the difference is between the 2 cores.Can anyone tell me the why i see so much raving about the venice core,is it that much better than the winchester? Also are these 2 that much better than the clawhammer and newcastle?
the description sayys the ram is KHX3200AK2/1GR whats that r at the end stand for.When i went to the kingston web site it doesnt show any ram with the r at the end. some kind of overclocked value ram maybe?
