There does appear to be physical room for a PCIe card. Why would I need a bigger power supply for more mem and a video card? It not like I am going to put a $800 SLI setup into a $500 machine.

(How well) Will a ATA/100 or /133 drive perform on a /33 controller?

An UDMA 133 Drive will perform well, on a UDMA 33 controller. Since you will be using UDMA 33 your 80 wire cable will perform the same as a 40 wire so it doesn't really matter which you use. If you are buying UDMA 133 for the 133 rating you are wasting your money. A bigger cache, faster...

shouldn't make diff but are you setting the drive thats alone to single (not master) and the pared drives to master/slave (not single/slave). Some devices and brands can be pretty picky about single vs master and other don't care or use master and single as the same setting. My Maxtor and WD...

The Strangest thing that happened to me...

Ummmm.... actually I think he meant the ports on the motherboard itself, not the keybord and mouse. Can you get into the bios when the machine posts? If the keyboard works then, then its going to be a problem elsewere.

Kyro II + Win 2k = bad preformance?

I haven't seen any marks on it under win2k, but I can say its great under 98se. Good sharp 2d (which you won't get from nvidia) and good 3d... I haven't used it under something like Tribes 2, but it runs heavy gear 2 without a hitch...
