Best cooler for 6800gt?

Water cooling is an option as because my birthday is coming up next month and I usually get like $250 but this is my first overclock and I don't wanna push it too far just yet. It would solve the noise problem though...

Best cooler for 6800gt?

Why? I went out and checked a bunch of reviews and threads and it still seems kind of inconclusive. The arctic cooler does blow air out of the case and therefore might lower ambient temps. but alot of the cooling results with the Zalman are better than with the Arctic, but not by a whole lot. I...

Best cooler for 6800gt?

The temps on my EVGA card are kinda high (around 60C-62C idle) and I think I might want to replace the stock cooling so I can overclock. I've been looking at the Zalman VF-700cu or AlCu and the Arctic Cooling NV5 Rev. 2. It might be cheaper just to replace the stock paste with AS5 or something...

Actually, IMO my components make very little noise. I haven't tested it with a meter or anything but it is acceptable to me and I'm ususally only a foot and a half away from my computer. BTW. I even tested the fans without any other fans or noismaking components on and they were still pretty...

Really? I just bought one and put it in my case and its dead silent. Moved alot of air too. I'm very happy with it, maybe you got a bad one.

Lowering temps on my EVGA 6800GT

I just built my comp and I used the mobo's temp monitor to check the temps and came up with this (Haven't tested under load yet) CPU:32C-34C, Sys: 35C-40C , GPU: 59C and up? Is this the motherboard or is the graphics card getting thet hot? I'm going to add more fans this weekend but I just...

Dealsonic and aluminum cases

How much will Venice 64's cost?

Well i guess if the premium ain't that much i could hold on for another few weeks. But any more than that and i'll have to be put in a rubber room with a straight jacket form all this goin' to libraries just to get on the internet:).

How much will Venice 64's cost?

I'm looking to get a 3200 or 3500 venice for my new system but i can't find pricing anywhere. About how much will the price premium be over Winchesters? I want a 3500 but if the premium is too high I could just get the 3200.

Ahhh prices going up...

TWO WEEKS:| !! OMG I'm going to kill myself. I thoght I was gonna order the parts for my new rig tommorow! I was gonna buy from monarch cuz when you buy the combo you get HL2 and Far Cry (I haven't had a usable computer in months). Any word on how much they'll cost there? Escpecially the 3500...

Sorry i haven't been able to respond but right now i have to use library computers so i'm pressed for time. i'm going to order the parts tommorow :D ! I think i'm sticking with the speakers for now because its the only way i'll be able to get the other components.

Skyhawk makes decent Aluminum cases, i've seen some good reviews i just have to find the link. Lian-li is a little out of my budget range right now and the SKyhawk seems just as good and it only costs $50 shipped:).

BFG or EVGA 6800gt

For the record, i'm getting one card for now, hoping to get another for SLI later in the year. I haven't had a chance to look at cooling systems for 6800GT's yet cuz i've been too busy picking out components but thats a thought. (BTW, in that vein what do you guys reccomend?). I do plan to OC so...

I'll have to think about it. To bad i've got no computer right now (i'm in a library, and they're closing) but it might be a good idea to go EVGA and save the $20.

Can't get the ultra though, to much for my budget. And the card info still says it ships at stock speeds and comes with a 2-year warranty, not lifetime. I still think that for 20 bucks extra the BFG is woth it.

Yeah. The chumbo price is why i asked the question, otherwise it probably would have been the EVGA no question. Now i'm leaning heavily towards the BFG.

I'm going to build my first comp in a couple weeks and the only part that i have'nt decided on yet is the graphics card. So far i've narrowed it down to the EVGA and the BFG 6800GT's but i'm not shure which i should go with.
