what does "correctly" imply? i guess my question is, how can it not output correctly?
Yeah, I would like to , but if the digital output is similar/satisfactory, I do not see the value added in an Audigy card. Maybe somewhere down the road, if it really made a difference.

Hello,
I'm not much of an audiophile and I'm sure some of you guys here really know your stuff. My question is: Does it really matter if I use the on-board coax digital output from the dfi ultra-d (ALC850) vs the SB Live 5.1 digital out? Will I notice a difference in the quality of the...
MSI x800xl also has dual DVIs. Cheaper than the powercolour counterpart and I believe is quieter as well.. x800 xl roundup here.
Either way you are getting an excellent gfx card. Enjoy!
Samsung SyncMaster 151s. 15" 30ms. Got it EONS ago (maybe 3 years?) for a price that can get me a nice 2005fpw right now. Still running dead pixel free. I know I know its time for an upgrade...

I have those headphones, and I have never heard of any hissing. Maybe it is from your md player. Try it on another medium and see if it happens. Hope it works out!
Assuming you're using WinXP..
Do you have .NET Framework installed? The Catalyst Control Center requires it.
If that isn't your problem then I'd suggest you download the drivers here. Get the package that lists the catalyst components as:
Display Driver,
CATALYST Control Center,
WDM...
alright so i jumped on a deal and got OCZ Gold VX 2x512 for $250 CAD shipped. Now I am debating wheter i should sell this one off and get the OCZ Value VX (same chips, unbinned) for ~$194 CAD. What would you guys do?
The image can pivot. (it'd be rather stupid if it didn't :P) I know the nVIdia drivers support it and have a little control panel thinger to do the pivoting. I'm sure ATI has something similar.
bah humbug, newegg needs to start shipping to us Canadians! :|
Cheapest i've found for that is $139 CAD (about $114 USD) before taxes and shipping :frown:
I am really interested in these winbond UTT chips now but alas, the premium must be paid! Closest thing to it is the OCZ Value series...
According to this thread here it seems like the OCZ Value uses the same UTT stuff as TwinMOS. So is it guaranteed that the OCZ Value is "always" UTT or only "some" are UTT?
I was just lookin at TwinMOS. Quality Stuff!! I can't find it anywhere here in Canada though, anyone have any info on Canadian dealers?
Or if one of ya can buy it for me and ship it up here that'll also be great (i'll sweeten the pot of course) :D
What speed/timings CAN you get at 5:4 with the Geil? I'm not too sure about the mobo bit, anyone?
There is also a poll up at the top ^^^ vote vote! :D
Cheers
Yes, I agree. But i'm getting mixed feelings about this Geil value from what i've read (some people having to have it run at 3-3-3 etc). Some say the samsungs are great modules and can get some great oc results out of it. In the end, there is still a difference in the "bang for the buck" so...
Hello,
I have plans on setting up a new rig with a DFI nf4 Ultra-D, A64 3200+ and oc'ing it.
Now, I am pretty budget conscious and would like to get "value" ram. I first decided upon the Geil Value 2x512 DDR400(GE1GB3200BDC) since it is cheaper ($129 CAD, $105 USD) than the Corsair...
Thanks a lot for the site Vegetto! Just noticed Enermax 485W NoiseTaker Power Supply ATX 12V 2.0 for $89.99 CAD. I think I'm gonna get that one, seems like a pretty solid performer. What do you guys think?
hm.. I'll pick up the 7700 Al-Cu instead of the 7000 then. The bigger...
Thanks guys! I've been meaning to join these forums for a while now
