i would get an asrock if your looking for a cheap motherboard. as far as i know they are a devision of asus and asus is known for there stability. ive seen mach speed motherboards at frys and ive seen people return alot of them as well as ecs boards.
nice system however lots here are gonna talk you out of raptors. if your stuck on raptors get the 74gig flavor. lots of people here are big on value ram however im not. i like the ram you chose. other hard drive recommendations are sata 2 ncq drives which is what i have. hitach 80gig sata 2 ncq...
wont know until it comes out. it could be extremely unstable like windows 98 was. i think it would be wise if your gonna get a rig then if and i do mean if vista is stable like windows xp is.i have no idea what the prices is gonna be for that os either.
the dr has a strap and a front panel you can install. i think thats the only difference. yes the karajan module is off in the box. when i had my dfi board i had an audigy 2 zs installed and kept the sound module in its case.ive heard the karajan sound is pretty good though i never used it.
i would get the fortron 550watt. you better make sure you have enough volts on the 12volt rail for two vid cards in sli. not only that you better make sure they are stable 12volt rails.i wouldnt go with anything less then 500watts. dfi recommends 480watts just for the board and native 24 pin.
i wouldnt use an aspire psu. hardcop reviewed a motherboard i thought it was the abit an8 but im not sure and they didnt like it.most nforce 4 boards like native 24 pin psu. you might have a problem with an adapter you might not. yes all the boards ive gotten came with sata cables.
your first mistake is buying a soyo board. no offense but its true. some of these boards are cheap for a reason ie ecs and soyo...pc chips etc etc. they are crap. anytime someone is looking into buying computer hardware its very important to research. the motherboard is one of the most...
newegg is slow when i order im in houston and the egg is in california. monarch ive ordered two things from them and have not had a problem and they are real close to me. i would order from them again.
i have a pc power and cooling 510. i love it. i always see in forums "dont skimp on the power supply its important." i remember ordering my psu from them and they were very polite over the phone. ive heard they have top notch support also though i have not needed it. for some buying a 230.00...
actually dfi nforce 4 boards dont do well with any value memory if i recall. i would go to www.dfi-street.com for recommendations on hardware. i would wait for revision 2 if i were you the first dfi sli dr had lots of problems is why i got rid of mine. also dfi crossfire board will be out i...
ive seen mge brand psu's at frys and micro center. if it were me i would get a better psu. i would get fortron blue storm 500watt. gives you breathing room for future upgrades and is a nice psu. it is more then 50 bucks though. ive seen them between 70-80 bucks.
socket 754 doesnt take or use dual channel memory either so you really dont need dual channel either.you can put dual channel in there but wont take advantage of it they way i understand it.
if you want to game count ibm out all there stuff is integrated as far as i know. i would look into sager/pc torque.com. they would have a laptop that your looking for. sager and prostar use the same notebook shells. i believe they are clevos. which alienware does the same. depending on your...
