Cooler Master Centurion RC-534-KWN2 has no side fan?

Looks like a mistake - a Google image search shows no hole on the side of the RC-534 w/ window. If there is no side window then there is a vent for a 80mm fan (as with my Centurion 530) so maybe they got it confused with that? In fact, looking at the Coolermaster site the error was made...

Lian Li v1000B Plus II and heat pipes

Sorry, my bad! That's what I was thinking of, but I'm not good with terminology. It was the very last bit ("The condensed liquid then travels back "down" by gravity") which I wasn't sure about

Lian Li v1000B Plus II and heat pipes

Isn't it something to do with the fact its self enclosed and heat will just go to the other end of the heatpipe through dissipation (so?), so it doesn't matter? Sorry, that's more of a question than an answer, but I think it's the reason :)

    7900 GT - Aftermarket Cooling

I have the Zalman Fatal1ty (with red LED) on my 7950GT and I used to have a VF-900... The Fatal1ty gets better temperatures but is slightly louder at stock than the VF-900, although it can easily be controlled by any fan controller. Both would be up to the job I would imagine.

    Good Stepping?

Well, hard drive hasn't turned up :( Been delayed by the fog. So, repaired my current Windows install and just testing :) Currently priming at 260mhz x 9 = 2340mhz with 1.45V (read as 1.44V), with my RAM at 1:1, 2.8V, 3-4-4-8.

    Good Stepping?

Lapping kit isn't here yet, but RAM is - so I've fitted the RAM and reseated the HSF with AS5 (got some Shin Etsu n the way with the lapping kit). A bad picture of the RAM: I loaded into the BIOS, and changed these settings, leaving the rest on auto: DRAM Frequency: 200mhz...

    Good Stepping?

Its not here yet :( Taken the heatsink off in advance, but its been delayed in the post so it looks like it'll be tomorrow or even Thursday :( I know its reasonable - I've had it up to 270mhz but I honestly don't know if that was with Prime95 stable, it was ages ago (on the stock cooler too)

    Good Stepping?

I'm not lapping my CPU - I'm not quite that nuts ;) Just the heatsink. I've found a thread over at XtremeSystems with lists of steppings and how high people have gotten them, but I can't find any which are APNW - just one elsewhere on the forum and that guy doesn't give any definite results

    Good Stepping?

Just taken the heatsink off my CPU ready for lapping. My stepping: LBBLE 0517 APNW A google search revealed just two results, one at 300mhz FSB and one at 310mhz FSB. Is it any good? Thanks!

    How high can I go?

I'm perfectly comfortable with dividers - I was using them with my last motherboard and a bit with my current one. IIRC, with my last MB (Abit AX8) I reached ~230mhz FSB with stock VCore and then SuperPi started slowing down and became unstable and then I raised it. How do you 'burn in'...

    How high can I go?

Matt2 - I've got a DFI RDX200CF-DR and the RAM is G.Skill PC4000 HZ: I'm getting a single stick to start (of the two) and then buying the second a couple of weeks later so that the guy can finish upgrading. I think my aim will be 300mhz FSB stable - with my AX8 I had it doing SuperPi at...

    Need Help Choosing RAM

OK :) Well, at the moment I've got 1GB of Value RAM which will go to a massive 216FSB before not being prime stable :o I've been offered 2GB of G.Skill PC4000 HZ from America, but I live in the UK so am trying to work out whether its as good a deal as it seems.

Heya guys, I'm looking to buy some used RAM, and I've had a couple of offers from people in America (I live in the UK). I'm just hoping for some details on what happens. Do I have to pay taxes, etc? If so, is there an easy way to work them out? Also, someone has offered me some PC...

    RAM timing help

Generally: Low latency numbers = a lower overclock but faster RAM speeds Higher latency numbers = a higher overclock but slower RAM speeds (however the faster speed of the RAM and cpu make up for this) This is why people 'loosen' (e.g. raise their latency numbers) to allow them to get a...

    Need Help Choosing RAM

Their both BH5 :) Only difference is one is guaranteed to run at PC3200, one at PC4000 - sorry if I didn't make it clear. I would guess that the best BH5 chips are reserved for the PC4000?

Need assistance maxing out a 939 system

Welcome :) It depends on the stepping of the processor really - everytime AMD make a revision to the processor, they release a new 'stepping' with a new code, and each stepping overclocks differently from the last. With Opterons, its very hit and miss - you may get a very overclockable...

    Need Help Choosing RAM

Hi all, I've been advised by DFI that my current TwinMOS Value RAM is causing my PC to be unstable - I found that Day of Defeat crashed at default settings so I've had to loosen the timings simply to get it to run. I found some TeamGroup Xtreem Zeus PC4000 BH5 New in a shop for #90 (90...

Are dual 12 volt rails really that important for sli?

The 3.3V rail doesn't matter. The best idea is to look on their website and search the net to try and find the real figure. How'd you know it doesn't have 2 12V rails? And you should ask for your money back by the way.

Are dual 12 volt rails really that important for sli?

It depends how many Amps are on that rail. You got a figure?

    Help with my custom build:

Post one post at a time! Get the NEC ND3520-A and if your building a gaming rig which can overclock quite well get the AX8 and a better graphics card. Get a SATA hard drive, the SATA version of the one you picked will do. The Tagan TG480-U01 is good value, and they also do 530W and 580W...

I doubt mine will be any where near as nice as that! :D I plan to scavenge some Hardrive bays and some CDROM and Floppy bays from an old PC case which is too small and has very bad airflow. Abit AX8 Motherboard, Its nice.

Does anyone know if the OCZ DDR Booster will work with the AX8, and how much voltage extra you can get? I am looking at the OCZ PC-3200 Gold VX which uses BH5 chips and is very cheap, but I want to be able to put 3.5V for it, as the warranty goes right up to there. The OCZ site has nothing on...
