I don't see how that gets any lower than what he stated ($80-100). Personally I'd go for the cpu upgrade because ddr2 will eventually come down in price, and it's not a dead end.
They've actually already changed the wrist strap. Otherwise, the only thing I've heard complaints about is that they used a different drive chip in newer revisions and so some of the mod chips don't work with the newer models. Pay for your video games people. It's bad not to.

For those who are confused by this post, it sounds like you can link a Chase credit card to Chase's +1 Facebook group and end up with $35 out of it.
I had five chase cards before this one and got instant approval... It took about 8 weeks for the last one ($100) so I imagine this one will be about the same.
