What is up with my Computer!?

Firewire, play games over it?

My brother just bought a laptop and it has a firewire port on the back of it. If I went out and bouth a external firewire drive, and hooked one end of a firewire up to my port, and the other end to his, would we be able to play games over it? Or do we need a router/switch?

Athlon 64 3500+ clocking at 1.0 ghz!?

My laptop which has a Athlon 64 3500+ processor says that it is only clocking at 1.0 GHZ. the system page even says "AMD Athlon 64 3500+" but why does it only say 1.0 ghz? DXdiag also says the same thing. Whats going on here?
