Getting kicked off the net randomly

First off I believe that there are many possibilities as to why I am getting kicked. I'll address those after i give the scenario. What is happening: I come home turn on the pc. I start browsing then after a while the browser either stops communicating with the site or locks up. I am using...

I tried to burn my 4.1g to the dvd +r but the programs I was using didn't recognize the full capacity of the disk. Nero and windows media player only allowed for 80min and 700mb of space on a 6hr 4.7g disk. Any suggestions?

Wounderful I have 4.1 gigs of audio i need to put on one. Thanks! Any steps to maintain quality I need to be mindful of before I write? Do the files loose quality once burned?

This goes to show my overall ignorance of software. I have no Idea what P2P/BT is. BT = Bit Torrent? I think it was a limewire or bearshare program.

A64 3000+ Stock HSF

I assume that I shouldn't use anything abrasive. A credit card seems like it would do the trick. Any other tips for removing the thermal pad and replacing it with thermal compound. Thanks for the help all !

Great news !! I should be able to remove it hopefully with relative ease. The HSF is still in the retail box. Any suggestions on how to remove the thermal pad? Is it a matter of just pulling it off?

Yes! I am a self admitted noob. But with time and a little love from the great posters here at Anandtech I hope to change that. I have a question about that grey pad... Would one advise against putting any thermal paste on the cpu with the thermal pad? If so why?

Oddly the CPU/HSF didn't come with any paste at all. On the bottom of the HSF there is a grey pad but that's it. I bought some lower end Artic Silver. 5.99 NE

"PR number = Intel speed in ghz. Its pretty self explanitory. 3000+ = 3,000mhz. ie 3.0ghz." -Sentential How does that apply to a 4000+? Theoretically does that it mean it is much like a 4.0 would be if intel had one? Thanks for your response.
