As long as you are sure your PSU will otherwise conform to ATX 2.0 standards, then I believe the above link is what you need.
Looks pretty awesome. I have a P5W and I like it very much. The only thing I would add is perhaps a change in video card to fully take advantage of some of the features of the P5W. I am sure the nvidia card is pretty sweet but perhaps you can consider a pair of ATI x1950XTX's or something...
Honestly, I don't know what the best/easiest method is. I would maybe start with clearing out your startup folder. Maybe you'll be lucky and the problem was just with a program that loads at startup.
Take a look at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316434 It seems a bit involved but this...
Have you performed any driver updates or changes just prior to your system freaking out?
Perhaps a driver for some device has been corrupted and needs to be reinstalled in safe mode.
Are there any performance benefits from running 2x 1GB DDR2 modules instead of 4x 512MB? Any particular configuration better than the other?
Thanks,
Mike
The decoder I'm using is whatever is installed with PowerDVD v6. I don't recall having this issue on my previous windows installation with the same PowerDVD install.
Lately I have had issues with my video and display in general and I can't seem to diagnose the source. Both TV and DVD movies have issues with white balance. Games and the desktop all look great, but the tv (i have a leadtek PVR2000) and movies don't look good. The image is a bit grainy (which i...
I have a couple of general questions. About 2 weeks ago my p4 system fried itself. I have no idea what happend actually, other than my comp started turning itself on and off again very quickly and then I smelled the horrible odor of burning plastic. The south bridge of my P4B had a melt down...
Never had a problem with ghosting with a dell monitor and they are generally considered top class monitors. (I play HL2, BF2, jedi knight II/academy, etc.) I have a 2005fpw and I love it. What a great monitor and you can get it for a great price with coupons + a sale. I got mine for little...
Are you sure? I would imagine aluminum heat spreaders would have a higher rate of transfer of heat to the surrounding air than the ram chip material would. In other words, I think aluminum would give up heat more readily than the ram chip ceramic.
Any heatspreader isn't spreading heat out...
What dell site are you looking at? I see it for $699 (which is way expensive, it was about $500 a couple of weeks ago without rebates/coupons)
Coupons aren't on the dell site. Check the hotdeals forum, coupons are posted there on a regular basis. Google for other sites that post coupons...
Dell has deals on a pretty regular basis and finding coupons online has proven fruitful for many people on this forum. Many here have gotten these dell monitors pretty cheap. I've seen the 2005FPW as low as $389 after coupons.
Response time isn't everything...
And you might consider the Dell 2005FPW. Wonderful monitor. The Dell 1905FP is great too, but I'm personally a fan of the widescreen aspect ratio.
Another quick not on UPS's. If you're shopping for one, make sure you know the difference between VA (volt-amp) rating and the wattage rating. Some UPS's havea high storage capacity (VA) but can only ouput a relatively low amount of Watts, just like an inverter is only rated so high. You...
Not quite. If your DC circuit requires 100W to operate and Power is DC Volts*Amps then a drop in voltage would require more amps to keep 100W. You can, for example, generate 100W with 5 amps at 20V, or 20 amps at 5V.
Anyway, of course a brownout is dangerous for electronics. Voltage...
I'd love to help if i could but i don't know the answer to your question. However, I would like to point out that real research requires libraries and scholarly works. The internet is an amazing tool but students rely entirely too much on it. Get offline and do some research. Get to the...
You're so boring. All you did was attempt to make moonbeams extremely generalized statement (It was a single sentence after all) sound absurd by talking about robber barons and fat guys in hot tubs of jello. You no more argued with "THE FACTS" than moonbeam did. Globalization and workers...
I agree. I wish there was some audio or something. People really need to build some vocabulary. I certainly didn't read anything so far that would constitute Dean "going ballistic".
Oh, whew. Thanks for being the voice of reason there, Rip.
Certainly not. It's good to question the methods for gathering data. Also, Red Dawn accused you of making "knee Jerk allegations", which I would argue is different than "waging a campaign of lies and hate" as you suggested. And...
Where physically have you placed your ram? On my asus P4P800E the ram has to be in alternate slots for Dual channel to be enabled. The two sticks of ram can't be in the two slots that are next to each other. Not sure if that's the case for you but worth a try maybe.
I've been a big fan of klipsch. I've had 2.1 THX klipsch's for 5 or so years now, never needed to be replaced. It's too bad so many seem to have issues...
I would only get a laptop if you really need to have something that's portable. Otherwise, stick with a desktop since you'll get a lot more out of it for the money. As Ben said, better performence for less money. You'll also have various upgrade paths that simply aren't available with a...
