this is a tad ridiculous, but i get aggravated easily. Im running win2k pro, with geforce 4 ti4200 in 32bit 1600X1200. the system tray icons are only appearing in 256 colours. anyone know why this is? or how to fix it?

Win2K, or WinXP, Linux Which do you guys think is better

just curious how many of you prefer which OS. Ive used all of them seems that I prefer Win2k over all. linux is just too much of a hassle to play a CD, or install packages. (cant ever find them after i install rpm's, put them in directories that are baffling) WinXP doesnt let you personalize...

mounting problems

YEAH, got it to work late last night. for some reason, when ever i edited xf86config, and then ran setup, the drivers would go back to original values. wierd.... anyhow, seems to be working now thanks mcgrath

Pencil Trick for overclocking T-bird stopped working!

you know, I tried cleaning the pencil using an eraser and rubbing alcohol, but my motherboard still shows that it can overclock. Im having the same problems as before. very irritating. well, thanks guys

Unlocking T-Bird

Hey guys, I unlocked my T-bird 800 using the pencil trick and it seems that it has worn off. I can no longer get 1000mHz. When I set my multiplier at 10, my startup screen reports 600mHz. Any news on this? I am using the MSI K7T Pro2 A motherboard. thanks, Pat
