    you can remove the heatspreaders if you want, they're more for aesthetic purposes.. unless you're overclocking a lot and putting a lot of volts to the ram, you dont need any cooling (especially heatspreaders, since you dont need to spread heat, unless you're using rambus ;))

    software voltage monitoring is not accurate enough to even look at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P i agree.. this is not really an issue unless your psu is way out of spec or you're overclocking.
