i tried to flash this set and got a flash error and had to make a disk of the old 1205 just to get my Bios back
i have the latest flash tool so i dont know what the prob was

btw just went and checked ASUS again and looks like they removed the 1303 Bios
i went to ASUS to see if any new BIOS where out and i seen these 1303(non beta) so i downloaded them and tried to flash them and got a ERROR on install wile flashing
i restarted my comp and noticed that my comp BIOS then where gone and the BIOS recovery was flashing and searching for BIOS on...
yeah i dont install the NVIDIA firewall just tooo buggy ;) im useing Chipset drivers 6.66 and useing the 1013 Bios all seems to run fine just the shutdown hang is the only prob i have
well performance wise id say the 6800GT in SLI due to price allso cause u can overclock the GTs to match the 6800Ultras ;)
i have 2 Asus Geforce 6800Ultras in SLI mode and i love them but u can do just as good with 2 6800GTs and just OC to match the speeds of a 6800Ultras

1 gig of ram is fine but if u play HL2,D3,FarCryor BF2 id say get 2 ;) it sounds like over kill but with games becomeing more demanding its good to have a some xtra ram + to keep all the other comp stuff running fine
and yes BF2 no matter what will jump and skip a bit ;) im hopeing the 1.3...
i dont have that prob but i do have probs when shuting down my system is hangs and doesnt turn off :( i have to push the power button in just to turn of my comp
im useing 77.77 drivers with 2x Asus Geforce 6800 Ultras in SLI mode and no probs here
what kind of probs are u haveing Ike0069 ?? your card mite be bad ot going bad or some other conflict with your system
BTW what happend to the driver sticky Gamingphreek??
im running them and i have yet run into any probs.ive tested them on HL2,D3,Far Cry and WoW and had no probs what so ever
and im running it with the new SLI16xAA on ;) this make games look way more crisp

that card with his spec should run blazeing fast with all setting maxed and should be able to do way over what he is getting
sounds to me like a bum card :( id play with the settings some if not id RMA it ;)

im running HL2,D3,WoW and Far Cry all in the setting i listed
i need to try and do some 3DMark05 or Aquamark testing to see what i get with those setting but so far game play is smooth and Gfx are crisp and clean
im running the new Official WHQL 77.77 and so far so good :) the one kool thing about this set of drivers is the SLI8x and the SLI16x settings
i have my settings rite now at SLI16x and AAF 16x and Quality set too High Quality and useing 1024x768 rez
games now look so killer no jaggys at...

ive been getting some way up there temps i idle at 49c and at full load i can hit temps at 68c to 70c and this...
yeah mosty look for the SLI ready sticker on the box and im sure it will work fine
buts its really not needed ;) the cards i have now didnt say anything about SLI at the time i got them :laugh: just look for the little tooth or notch on top the card :laugh:

well from reading this forum and the Nvidia SLI forums it seems like ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Nforce4 SLI chip is to blame ;)
i checked my system fully made sure all was right in side the comp (wires and all makeing sure nothing was hiting anything) ;) all checked out fine there...
yeah useing them now :) so far so good :D need to test more :laugh: way better then the Leeked (77.62) and the 77.50 betas ;)
allso for those useing Windows XP x64 Edition they have new divers out for u too :) c them here Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Version: 77.72 WHQL

k i have a A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo version 1.2 .im haveing a prob with games ive posted my prob on here and thoght i fixed it but it looks like i didnt u can read the post i made HERE
so i hit the Nvidia SLi fourm and seen like 5 threds with...
yeah i have a few games that mess up with that driver :( like in WoW is makes the pics on the char window all messed up or make it the wrong pic
i allso have got crashes with Splinter Cell :CT where the driver just stoped running
its probaly y Nvidia didnt put offical on those :laugh...
yeah my Nvidia Lan blows :frown: i did a speed check and i have 5mb connection and was getting like 2mb to 3mb with it :( and was getting lots of loss with it in games
so i dissabled it and went with the Marvel Yukon and tested it got the full 5mb allmost :D and games run better now no lag
ryansebiz u only have to connect to 1 ;) im useing just the Marvel Yukon port i have the Nvidia on dissabled in BIOS ;)
it sounds to me something is messed up on that mobo or did u brige the 2 connections ?

i read some where they set the frist one to disabled and the other 2 to auto.i myself havent messed with it yet ;)
too me it just sounds like the GFX cards
i have x2 ASUS Geforce 256 6800 Ultras and i get temps around 64c ;) so 80 something for those cards u have seems real hot
id look into trying to get diffrent GFX cards ;) and that PCI Cooler looks ok mite want to give them ago sence they are...
**Update On This Prob**
well it was the RAM :) i just got TWINX2048-3200C2PT and put it in Dimm A1 and B1 like the user guide says and bam!! the games i listed play now without shutingdown my system :)
the Ram i had before TwinX1024RE-3200LL would not install in the Dimm slots as up top...
buy looking at the Dell deals and what u listed it looks like hes got a Dimension 3000
its a sucky comp bro ;) my moms got one but she just uses it for web games and surfing the net.thats all its really good for :(
Dell makes 2 versions of the Dimension 3000 one that supports Dual Channel...
the times i am useing now are 2-3-2-6 that is what this ram can do TWINX1024RE-3200LL thats timeings off the ram and all my Bios and drivers are up-to-date.
looking at the QVL list for this mobo and matching it upto Corsairs Memory chart all the ram they tested in this mobo has a * next to it...

and yeah it works fine but on full loads like Doom3 or Splinter Cell:CT it just shuts down the system
and naa all my temps are fine and the power is fine too i think its just a ram...
update on this prob :) i started to play the games i have listed on frist post and lets just say it still shuts down :( so me and a friend sat there trying to fix the prob then it hit me
i started to play with the ram timeings and seen that at some setting the comp would run longer then shut...
yeah no real need for that firewall anyway i have the Windows XP one install so thats good for now :)
and yeah i love this Mobo :) this rig is so nice and good room to upgrade in the future :) gona wait for bit before i get into OCing just to make sure all is 100% stable :)
ok looks like its been fixed :) what i did was installed the latest chipset drivers 6.53 did a lil Bios tweeking and uninstalled Nforce Firewall and BAM all works fine played Splinter Cell :Chaos Theory for a hour and half strait no shutdowns :)

yeah iwearnosox i agree but i said i can do all stuff on this system and play allmost all games but the ones i listed ;) so i think if it was a power issue it would happen alot more and it doesnt ;)
and no Insomniak no OCing on this comp not for awile lol no real need ATM :) bigtime if i cant...
