Is your ENT fellowship trained in Head and Neck surgery or just some general ENT in the community? I'm really surprised it wasn't caught after the first surgery. I'd consider getting a second opinion at a large academic center on whether you should have surgery, radiation, or surgery+radiation...
Not true. A blood test for sodium gives an very accurate measure of the body's sodium content because the body's sodium is almost entirely found extracellularly (in the blood). A few conditions (acidosis, insulin use) can cause a blood test report a falsely normal potassium when the body's...
The amount of ignorance you have demonstrated in this thread makes me certain that you will in no way be able to comprehend the following article that unequivocally disproves your conspiracy theory, but here it is anyways. You understand nothing about the scientific process, statistics...
We already have all the capabilities you describe. PET/CT has a resolution of 5 mm for detecting malignant tumors. Surgeons can resect nearly any tumor in any part of the body without killing the patient. Despite the ability to consistently get a 100% complete resection of a tumor as determined...
Much better than the previous beta. Not a fan of Dust Bowl though. Feels like a gimped bf4 map. Shouldn't have included it in the beta when they are trying to convince people that this isn't reskinned bf3/4.
Not impressed with the game so far, but it looks like they are really trying to address gameplay issues and community feedback. I'm hopeful it'll be fun when it's "released". Also, someone needs an SOE logo here.
You are correct in guessing that it's a huge empty galaxy. There are 400 billion unique star systems to "explore", but the only reward you get is credits for scanning them.
TBH, sounds like you are having a manic episode. Stay on the meds you are prescribed and take things one step at a time. Don't try or expect to go from illness to being fully functional overnight.
You need to be oriented correctly to dock. Make sure your engines are facing you on the little ship model. It won't work if the ship nose if facing you. Alternatively, buy an auto-docking extension, always works when you use that.
Its always online multiplayer with a persistent economy. Not...
You realize training a physician is not cheap right? The government funds the majority of residency training costs. These funds have not increased significantly since 1996. That's the limiting factor...
I wish the Keep had the ability to import saves. Can't remember some of the choices I made, so I have to spend time reading the wiki and try to piece together what result I want.
The AI seems pretty bad. One declared war on me, sent 3 units which were wiped out by my city, constantly sends jets to attack one infantry unit which die instantly, and now has refused to make peace with me for 150 turns. I have no interest in conquering them, and they haven't sent any more...
Seconded on Shingeki no Bahamut. Very pleasantly surprised with it.
Parasyte is another new show I'm following. It's based on a 90's manga and not on the anime charts floating around. The story is amusing and animation is decent.
Watch all of Fate Zero and then the current Fate/stay night unlimited blade works. The old Studio Deen Fate stay night is trash. Fate Zero is the prequel and should be seen first.
This. Any US hospital should be able to handle an ebola patient. It's far, far, far less contagious than something like tuberculosis, which every hospital should be able to deal with.
Hep C is primarily transmitted through IV drug use, not sex. It's actually rather difficult to transmit it through sex. Hep C also only causes liver cancer as a secondary effect of it causing cirrhosis (permanent scarring of the liver). Chronic hep B on the other hand can directly cause liver...
You have to use a finisher move on captains to kill them permanently. Otherwise wise they wake up again. This is a way to make a nemesis without dying to them.
Better question is is it worth it to sacrifice 4 years in medical school and 3+ years in residency. Trying to do it only for earning potential will leave you jaded and burnt out or a radiologist or both.
Their original goal, to make a functioning game with more features than what has been released so far, was $2 million. Now they have 27 times that much funding and nothing to show for it besides a tech demo and delays. It's amazing that whales keep buying into the hype.
What is the average joe going to do with all that? It's silly to think that someone untrained or minimally trained is even going to be able to start in IV in such a situation, much less follow ACLS. It's a waste to buy any of that for your home and think it would come in handy in an emergency...
This is definitely not what they taught in Texas history here in Texas.
Texas didn't do anything in the civil war because it had no strategic value besides contributing besides men and horses. Your hero Sam Houston was against secession because he thought the South would lose, turn out he was...
It's far uglier when you never have a conversation about end of life care, which results in your 90 year old grandmother getting intubated and her ribs cracked before dying anyways because the default option is for all heroic measures to be taken.
Dermatologists are generally from the top of their class in medical school. It is one of the hardest specialties to get in to. They are far more experienced than any advice you will get here.
Phylogenetics has nothing to do with the mechanism or existence of Darwinian evolution. When Darwin drew his tree of life, he did not have any of the genetic tools with which phylogeny is based on today.
How has it been debunked? The only argument you offer is that we have an incomplete mechanistic understanding of evolution at the molecular level. How does that disprove evolution in any way? Also, flip open journal like Cell and you'll see that we have a better molecular understanding of...
Yep, carving a stone with three languages is definitely an impossible task for ordinary humans.

The only way more scientists could believe in intelligent design is if they loosened the requirement to be...
Yeah, the first season already aired in Japan and a 2nd season was just announced. If you can get past the clunky character animations, the story and setting are very enjoyable.
I failed at getting it online. Never tried the in person raffle. Ended up going to Buckskin Gulch, which is on the same trail-head. It's definitely worth visiting as well.
