please help me with data recovery after paragon disaster :(

Hi, thanks for taking an interest. Before, the unallocated space (~500MB out of 2TB) was before in Disk Management. Now it shows as being after and still unallocated... so it never actually completed its task of merging the two. I hope this can somehow help you give me advice on a possible...

i dunno about the splitter... i'm already running a 50 foot cable to the projector after using the dvi-to-hdmi adapter... add a splitter in the loop and what are the odds the signal will still get through all that! i think i'll read up about the ati/nvidia compatibility issue in vista... i...

Just wondering if this is possible. I have a X48 mobo with 2 pci-e 16x slots. I'm purchasing a 4870x2 this week and I plan on using the DVI-to-HDMI adapter to output to my HD projector. The 2nd DVI output will be used for a monitor. Here's the tricky part. I'm used to using two monitors...

ah.. so they're really all the same then huh? All got the same crappy cooling too? Is there any decent non-water cooling solution on the horizon for the X2? like a Thermaltake HR-03 plus adapted to the X2? that would be sweet..

question about 4850 and HD (bluray) playback

It plays video playback fine.... it's only when you throw 1080p at it that it becomes sluggish. Only when the filesize is really big. Beijing opening ceremony, 720p, 28GB single file, for example, is sluggish because it's huge. Planet Earth blu-ray, 25gb per disc, 8gb per stream file, is also...

question about 4850 and HD (bluray) playback

Well I am using one of those new terrabyte drives that are 5400-7200 (variable RPM). I didn't think this would play much of a factor since I figured that even a 5400 would be able to output data fast enough. How come applications like Gomplayer and KMplayer aren't using his CPU that much anyway...

x1900xtx running very hot all of a sudden

Hi guys. I have a Sapphire x1900xtx with an accelero x2 installed on it. When I first installed the accelero x2 on it many months ago, I had also done a bios flash to set the fan speed at 100% all the time. The temps back then were very nice.. hottest it was running was around 72 degrees...

I want to play sound from a networked computer.. but without using remote desktop

yea.. that would be sweet.. but i've already busted by budget for the month and i'm looking for a cheap solution. It's been suggested that one way to do this would be to capture all sound coming from the upstairs computer.. and then broadcast it so that it may be streamed from the downstairs...

so what if didn't want to change the video card i've got right now. i was looking more into buying a tuner card that would do that.. which tuner cards support component output? otherwise.. the coaxial cable that comes out of the ati theater cards for instance.. that coax cable doesn't support HD...

how to know what the hell your hard drive is doing??

Hi all. I'm running Vista Ultimate, and every now and then I hear my hard drive grinding (sort of like if it was defragging). It's constant and it lasts a long time.. usually over half an hour! There's no reason it should be doing this.. everything is idle.. my antivirus isn't scanning...

no OCing whatsoever actually.. I got a good airflow in my system with lots of fans including a crossflow fan that blows air on the ram.. which already has excellent heatsinks on it. On the HDs especially I got a real leaf blower that keeps em at an average of 23 degrees. i don't always re-use...

my PSU is a 500w seasonic.. I never had any problems with it as far as I can tell... I do have a lot of stuff in my computer.. but according to a power calculator.. my psu should still be able to deliver enough juice for it all.. also when the bad sectors occur I am not doing things like...

Settle a discussion. Xbox 360 graphics vs High End PC

this question was already settled a year ago ! Already a year ago the x1900xtx pwnd the xbox360. Having a SLI solution makes the gap between a high end pc and the 360 even larger! And now with the 8800gtx and the upcoming r600 and directx 10.. games are going to look SO much better on PCs it...
