Need something to play movies with no codec limitations

Is Plex doing the transcoding or is it Roku? Will it work if I have Plex server running and the Xbox 360 streaming from it? Or will I run into issues with codecs?

Audio and Video Codec

I have Ubuntu Edgy, and it doesn't do the codec for me because I have an avi that doesn't have sound. I'm guessing it's too old already 0_0 Anyways, the universe and multiverse repositories, how do I enable them? Is there a tutorial about this somewhere that I can just follow? Googled it...

JPG's have no icon

Hi, I don't know what caused this since it happened a while ago, but all my jpg's that used to have the icon associated with jpg's when you first install windows are gone. My jpg's now have the "Windows doesn't know what program to use to open this" icon. Help? Thank you, Horace

external hard drive problem

Hm......I tried the HDD with one of those IDE to USB cables and it worked. I put it back into the enclosure and it worked! But it definately sounds like this enclosure is seeing some age. Thanks a lot everyone

The 3 monitor thing there's a program I think that does it. I think it came with the old motherboard or the videocard. But if it can't do 3 monitors that's no biggy at all. Main concern is compatibility and stability. How trustable is ASUS these days? I'm really out of the whole computer...

Hello, I'm trying to send mass emails to 1600 emails. Tried to do it in Outlook but the email just stays in the Outbox and it never gets sent, even after pressing Send/Receive. Is there an alternative or am I doing something wrong? I tried using a distribution list but it didn't help...
