Anyone Used This? Cooler Master Aerogate III fan controller

I got the Aerocool Gatekeeper I. Big giant LCD 2 5.25 bay control panel with 4 fan controllers and 4 temp readouts. I just like extra readouts personally. Lol. Works great for me, the only complaint is that it is all 3 wire fan connectors, so I had to do some trickery to get my 4 plug fans...

Hating Asus A8N-SLI Premium - need alternative

To the OP, did you install the nVidia SW IDE drivers for this board? I got tons of stability and corruption issues that completely went away when I reinstalled windows and left out the SW IDE drivers.

Some interesting information from BFG technical support. The BFG 7800GTX OC requires a minimum of 24A on the 12V rail. I have a 600W PSU with split 12V rails giving 18A each. I am not sure that this will work. I have asked that of tech support and will see what comes back this time, but...

You may have to run 2 instances if you aren't getting high CPU usage. And make sure to put the program on high (10) priority so that it actually gives the system a workout. It bogs everything else down, but it does the trick of testing.

If I put in the -szx and -szy options to force 1280 by 1024 resolution, how do I get the settings to set to high also? When I went into the options menu on video it had 800x600 selected and then it went to that res when I put the settings on high. Thanks in advance! :)

7800GTX temperatures

I have the BFG overclocked 7800GTX. With RT at 18.6C, it idles at 38C and with BF2 at 1280x1024 all high no aa, it runs at 47C. I may have the probe in a bad position though. Where do you probe yours?

A question about my temperature sensor.

On the same topic, I am trying to figure out where to put a temp sensor on my 7800GTX. There are heat pipes on the side of the card, but I can't get the themal tape to stick there, so I put it as near the exhaust fan as I could over the plasticy type top cover. I get 38C under idle and 48C...

I was recommended to the coffee filters as a source of disposable lint free whipes for dealing with the heatsink installation. They worked really well. MechBgon's guide has been fantastic, BTW! :) Especially since my heatsink (the retail box version that comes with the X2 4800+) didn't match...

Have you tried uninstalling MP entirely? There are guides on how to do this, as it isn't a simple procedure, but it is possible. Maybe with MP gone, you can get IE to use something else after it doesn't find MP?

Is there a way in XP to lock/password protect individual folders?

I believe this doesn't work on a FAT32 partitioned drive also, so if you are not using NTFS format, I don't think you get the permissions option. Could be way off here though. :)
