You really need to bring that oc down to like 2.6 until you get a new HS. @ 60c I'm surprised that it is stable running super pi. Don't even try prime95, with those temps you are really going to cause damage on that cpu.
AND 45-47C IDLE IS NOT GOOD AT ALL
sorry to tell you but that stepping is not a great overclocker.
Set your memory to 180 divider and up your cpu vid special to 109% leave startup vid default and cpu volt to 1.40 your total volts should be around 1.55v. then let it go to windows, I doubt you can get better than 2.65 with...
Dude dual prime stable means a lot longer than 35 minutes, try 8hrs prime at least. nice chip those are been reported with very good overclocks over xs forum as well.
good luck
what motherboard are you using ussually cpuz undervolts your motherboard readings, and the last pic show 1.56v you might want to look again as i've never seen a bios that is set to 1.52v and cpuz reads 1.56v. either way nice overclock.
The thing is that he is not CPU limited at all. He will upgrade CPU to find himself in the same situation. I had similar problems until I replaced my video card and went with sli setup :), no more slowdowns or hickups. Do not waist your money on a new CPU as this will not solve your problem. Do...
anything faster than 2.6 will not give you a better gaming experience, this has to be your video card, i have downclocked mine to 2.3ghz to prove this theory (I read this also on another site) and right on the money no difference in gameplay, it's all about your gpu and ram hdd combination.
You need to read the overclocking guides, but to help a bit, try to set your memory timmings to auto and go higher on you fsb, make sure you divider is at 166 then get a64 tweaker and read the settings then start tweaking your memory for better performance.
once you have this cpu definately wont be a bottleneck.
to prime them all you do is make two separate folders of prime95 and start them both and set affinity to each core. guide is on dfi-street forum
good luck
opty 170 all day long, 2 meg cache for 70.00 less = priceless, in ocing, you will do better than a 4400 at stock volts. lots of people including myself went to 2.6@ stock volts prime 24hr stable.
good luck
those temps are factoring the offset reported by a proggy called central brain identifier my offset is -6c, meaning that my expert is reporting 23-24c at idle you add the -6c and whalla 30c at idle same as load temps.
They are high, I got my opti and running at 2.75ghz with 1.52v and idles at 30c and load at 44 dual prime.
I would check the hs mounting and maybe you need a bit more as5, maybe a little air pocket got inthere.
good luck
Your board as mine and ALL other expert owners report 8-10c under real temps. mine is reading as I type 33 under dual prime load, not likely it should be 41-43c real temps
I would check your memory timmings as this has lots to do with your overall overclock.
bring your memory divider to 166 and try to overclock 50 mhz at a time with stock volts until CPU can't boot, then increase volts to the next % always checking temps and see what happends, do this until you...
OCZ CREW:
I have the expert board and just got my new gx xtc pc 4000 2x1 gig ram.
Could you give me timmings for 280 fsb this are my options on the board :
Genie BIOS Settings:
FSB Bus Frequency -
LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio -
CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio -
PCI eXpress Frequency -
CPU VID...
look at my sig.. reasons: motherboard expert was for the spacing between pcie slots as im using nv5 coolers for video cards and the many tweeking options you have for overclocking.
cpu opty 170 (0546), I looked around and on air it reached 2800mhz the most giving me a better bang for my money...
I too have the 7800gt in an sli setup and to tell you the truth i went from an ati 850xt pe to this setup and it made the world of difference. Now are you buying to have the best power available for bragging rights or to be able to play the current and near future games with max eye candy on? If...
I have the NV5's also maybe my cooler point of contacts are not well matched to the memory chips or I did not get 2 cards from a good batch of cards. :(
are all your advance video settings in FEAR maxed out?
what drivers are you using? I' m using extreme g 81.95v2.
Let me know
thanks
And this is playing which game, try playing F.E.AR with this card at that speed then let us know about artifacting. I can play DOOM at any speed without artifacting as it's not taxing the cards like FEAR, and this is with everything maxout.. In FEAR I maxed everything out except vsync and at...
mine detect at that speed but artifacts shows after 15 min of playing fear. I lower it to 460 / 1.14 and all is well. mind I'm running sli with two of this bad boys :)
I think that is the reason I can't get mine past 460mhz without artifacting, I do have the nv silencers. would like to know...
again you were not even close,(only your cpu scored higher, since you are clocked higher duh). As far as total system performance not even close even with your cpu at higher speeds than mine.
I will clock mine to 2.9 then Ill show off for real, man i thought you had 100+ score the way you...
I gues I should have change the title as on for sli setup, not trying to compare to single cards here. I go to many different forums and this is the only one that some people act like f#$% kids. how about an instructive answer. for an sli setup is not or it is a bit low. then i can go back to...
Why am i trying to show off cause i put my scores like about another 300 people here?
what a f!@#$% joke.
For those of you that are taking it this way, I ask you why?
Specially coming from someone that has to list on their sig their previous high dollar
items (x2 4400+ (2.4GHz @ 1.30v)...
are this scores for my rig specs... are they ok or low or about avg?

1.Ok once you switch from raid 1 to raid 0 all data will be lost.
2.pretty sure you can still use the channels for a single drive by disabling the raid feature on your bios for those channels.
3. the benefit of raid 0 vs raid 1 is that now you will increase your throughout speed by at least...
Well mine is a clawhammer(they can stand a bit more vcore and temp.
just not sure of the max, I read in another thread sometime ago that 1.70v would be max but not sure and can't find the thread to verify. what do you mean when you said the memory make a big difference with prime95 . I thought...
I got 100+ on aquamark with the extreme-g 81.94v2 drivers.
my prime is running for 2 hrs then it error out. what is the mximum vcore i can apply to my cpu? my load temps while running prime95 are 44c max.
thanks
