    Which speaker should I get?

    X-230s are better than the X-240s...better sound, especially because of the 240's pointing towards the ground tends to muffle the sound. But, any Logitech speakers are great...even my 12W R-20s give great sound considering I paid only $15 for them.

    Crysis single player demo

    Personally, I thought the demo was pretty good and really quite fun to play. I had most settings on Very High (with the exception of Post-processing and Particle, which were on High) and the game ran smoothly through the whole thing. I'm really looking forward to it.

    PC 8500 Ram MUCH faster then PC 6400?

    Something's wrong with that...there should be no problems running at that res with everything maxed. I know my system has zero problems with BF2 at 1280x1024, and my processor isn't nearly as fast as yours.

    OpenOffice or Microsoft Office?

    I'm using both OOo and MS Office because my laptop's HDD died and I don't have my Office CD to reinstall with me at Duke. OOo takes some getting used to, but I haven't had any major problems with it. That being said, I still prefer Office 2003, but mostly because I'm used to it.

    How Does Radeon X850XT Stand Up Today ?

    Not true...my old Radeon 9700 Pro (which I replaced three weeks ago) was able to do HDR. The difference is that its integer based HDR, which isn't nearly as precise in its calculations.

    I got a slight FPS increase when I did that to about 71.1FPS...this is still about 30FPS lower than what I used to get...is it possible that there's something wrong with my BIOS that's interfering with my AGP?
