    GA EX58 UD5 QPI wall

    Does anyone know how to enable the "Slow Mode" on QPI multi? It has only x36, x44, x48, that seem to work correctly. "Slow Mode" just keeps using x36 which isnt really helpful. I cannot boot past ~7.4GHz QPI 205 BCLK nor past 168x44 ~7.4 QPI F12 BIOS. Old board i know.

    Umm yes sorry about being vague. The campus LAN is 100Mbps and i cant change that. The other end of the network jack in the wall is 100Mbps so would a switch work if the WAN port was only 100Mbps?

    nope.. got to try yourself. Look in the manual of your mobo what it says about 4 stick dual channel configurations and whether your sticks are double sided or single sided. I never got that DS SS part though, i think they are all double sided nowadays.

    Yes youve USED them for 10 years.. i have too. But unused.. heck 100 years? Some factors are of course there.. heat makes the magnetism on a HD to dissipate faster, so does moving and vibration etc. So in a freezer which is stabilized with gyroscopes? Eternity?

    You are running 4 sticks now, so there should be no problem. 2T is needed i think. Dual channel is only affected by the two sticks which form the "one big" channel, so as long as they are identical in pairs, i see no problem.
