When something like this happens I throw a simple ping /t with a 500 buffer lines in the CMD window. Its not great, but I can watch the trends. When the latency happens, 90% of these time out, the others are 1400-1500 ms. That goes on for a long time, then just stops in its tracks. The sites...

Right, the port is not dropping, and the analyzer i was trying (wildpacks netdopler) was not showing loss, but showing HIGH latency. It will suddenly just stop though, and back into the 50-150 ms range. I am new to useing these though and am looking for something like you said, a WAN analyzer...

How would you like about 30 new comps for TA (p3 550's and p200) all cracking? :)

I agree, the pproxy is the way to go. They all helped me set one up here at work, it is a much cleaner setup. You just need one PC you can trust that no one will mess with.

How does RC5 go with Laptops?

I have ran it on one dell p3 500 for a few weeks now and just put another 3 on it friday. They are all stacked on top of one another and run HOT, but no problems yet. Feels like there is a heater vent under my desk though hehe. Oh yeah, They made a nice boost in my stats :) Stats! Dag

Sounds like 95% of the people that I get to support all day. I have had the RC client on before, but never did much with it. I recently installed it and got it to shoot out the proxy, but decided to expand it today too all these machines not doing anything (mostly notebooks waiting on one thing...
