Do you guys use any stock alerts? Like for example if a ticker reaches so & so price, send an email or sms kinda setup. I have been looking around google finance & there portfolio manager but i dont seem to find that feature.

that doesn't make sense to me. Are you not in a contractual agreement that on the August strike date you'll buy that share for $12.50 each regardless of what the actual price of the share at the given August strike date?

But on the flip side, lets say for example, the shares are now $2 & there was no way of movement, is he obligated to buy them at $12.50 when the expiry date comes or he can just let the contracts expire & just loose the 10k?

Actually my bad, i am in no way well informed about this stock for me to predict a price. I just wanted to put a random number, but my idea is, the next test result is sometime in november so there certainly will be a pull back.
There was lot of shorting on HGSI past few weeks, this price run very well might be short covering after the test results came out. I have a feeling you sell it at market open, wait for a few more weeks until it falls down below $5 & then buy it back. Just my thought.......
