Mobo crash?

Was playing with Gary's Mod and comp crashed...now when i boot i get a black screen with unrecognizable script, won't even load BIOS. tried diff monitor and hd's...same result. I'm pretty sure it's my mobo since motherboard logo screen is fuzzy when displayed and as i said before, can't even...

need advice for additional cooling for 6600gt

i just bought myself an evga 6600gt and im more than satisfied with the the amount i paid (135) for the performance i put out. only problem is when i run games, specifically giuld wars for prolonged periods of time 2+ hours, the temps runs up to 80 degrees celsius...im pretty sure this is too...

Can you paint a steel case?

my 2nd computer built completely with old parts is held by cardboard already :P i like the duck tape idea though...but in that case i should've just bought some 15 dollar case

i bought this x-handler case ...i was wondering if it was possible to paint the whole thing black while still keeping it looking nice and not all splotchy...if so what kind of paint could i use?

Running an AGP 8x card on AGP 4x

building my friend a rrreeaalllly cheap computer for like 300, it's pretty much my computer right now cause all my new parts just came in so he gets my old ones :P it will look like: asus p4b 533fsb agp4x p4 1.7 ghz 768mb pc2700 ati radeon 9000pro 64mb he just wants a comp to play...

hows this crt?

2nd is better consider esa brand too? they're pretty new into the monitor scene but i have one and it's been working fine for over a year, think they carry them at CC... im just not a fan of beige colored crts :P i prefer silver or black

Need some info on a new computer that I would be building

get some corsair value ram 1 gig (512x2) at newegg for $77 dollars it'll be well worth it, plus 77 is already pretty dang cheap. but my question which i think you might have too is if you should take into account the the athlon64's core options...newcastle, winchester, venice or does it not...

10K or 7200K?

yah for about 130 more you can get the microsoft's new x64 os if you have a 64 bit cpu...those increase gaming performance a lot...of course it doesn't have much native support for a lot of things yet..

i always wondered about that. so i guess the OpenGL 2.0 is worth it eh? also to clarify, what i hope to achieve is to be able to play the games i have at high settings...im just getting sick of having to turn down everything just to play, but also balancing in a pretty low budget into the...

2 Gigs of RAM in a K8N Neo4 Platinum.

lol if you don't need it then wait! it's only going to be cheaper, so buy it when you need it otherwise you're going to be wasting your money :P also the reviews on newegg talk about how the MSI K8N Neo4-F Socket 939 mobo can only run 1,2, or 4 sticks of ram and not 3?!?! you can check it out...

depends on how much you're looking to spend, seeing you're going to use water cooling you could probably get a lian li like everyone else suggested. they'll probably solve some of your heating issues by themselves plus they look freaking clean. however if you're like me and have no money i just...

OpenGL 1.5 vs 2.0? ...x700 vs x600?

Im looking to upgrade my computer pretty much completely...mobo, cpu, gfx card, ram, but im kind of stuck on what graphics card to get. mainly i have no idea if there is a big difference between OpenGL 1.5 and 2.0. im looking at a budget system, hoping to spend no more than 120-150 on graphics...
