DragonBall GT- What happened in the last episode?

The person may or may not be, but it has absolutely nothing to do with what they decide to do or watch.

    VLC or Media Player Classic

That depends what you want to watch. Of course you'll need codecs, VLC is not the way I prefer because they install a million codecs for you, and I'd rather control what codecs get installed. MPC is bloat free, but in return you must install your own codecs (better IMO). Name what you...

    PCI Express sound?

PCI is a shared bus, all components on that bus share the bandwidth. PCI-E is not shared. PCI-E x1 has twice in bandwidth in both directions as PCI does. AGP 1x had twice the amount PCI did. PCI-E x16 has 32 times the bandwidth in both directions as PCI, and double the bandwidth of AGP 8x...

The answer is already in this thread. ;) Look at the post before mine where I said "Perhaps we should stop talking about it then".

World's biggest catfish caught in Thailand - 646 pounds!

That's an impressive catch. I don't really enjoy catfish though, at least not as much as other fish.

    2405FPW shipped today!

It should. Heck I think the old TNT 2 Ultra from many years ago did 1920x1080x32 @60 hz. Don't hold me to that though. I doubt you'll have problems running Winodws and those applications at that resolution.

What's with my radeon 9800 pro?

Okay, what loser returned that board to Newegg and claimed it was still good? :| Yeah I guess Newegg really should start chacking these but still... you don't return a defective product and tell Newegg that it's still usable, you tell them its defective.. grrr.. I'd just return that and try...

Using my HDTV as my computer monitor. HELP!

HDMI combines video and audio onto one connection, no PC will offer this because PCs have seperated video and audio processing chips/boards/connections. You'll need to use DVI or component for video.

    Antec TRUEPOWER vs NeoPower

Partly because its modular, there's probably other reasons that I'm forgetting. Both will serve you well though.

For ATA 33 speeds, 40 pin cables are just as good. I don't think the price difference is much if anything though. ;)

Would still be cool to have 60+FPS at 1600x1200 though. ;) Maybe framerates will improve by the time retail hits the shelves.

Best way to turn Mpeg files into DVD

For free? Well you won't get as high of quality, but Nero Vision Express 3 will author a DVD for you. Link to Nero software download page If you don't use any Nero products, you'll need package 1 and 2.

My processor is supposed to be 800 fsb but its not...

Temperatures do matter to an extent though. Just because Intel's chips may be able to handle the heat better than most chips doesn't mean the thousands of components on the motherboard, and the memory, chipset, video cards, etc will handle the extra heat load. Several C actually has a lot of...

    Nvraid PCI Identifier String

You'd probably have better luck in the Operating Systems forum. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to this right now. It probably has something to do with NVRAID being mostly software based, but beyond that I don't know yet.

    FAT 32 in Windows XP

As long as she works at home on it from time to time, it's otherwise hers to use. She obviously shouldn't abuse it, but I don't think an IT department would care who uses it and for what. As an IT person myself, I know that I don't care what my company does with their laptops... as long as it...

    FAT 32 in Windows XP

Not necessarily. (They could just assume FAT32 is what they should use without having a real reason) I can't think of any reliable software that actually needs FAT32 today. Never hurts to ask though.

    FAT 32 in Windows XP

Good point. Ask her to ask the company IT manager whether or not she can have NTFS or not. I don't know why any company would have FAT32 on there in the first place though...

    FAT 32 in Windows XP

FAT32 is fine unless you're dealing with large file sizes... like if you work with video content. Or if you deal with DVD images. You'll run into a 4GB file size limitation. NTFS is also a bit faster today, it doesn't hurt to just convert it to NTFS. ;)

What size page file w/2GB RAM?

Really? I was under the impression that changing the page file size does more to hinder performance than simply filling in the existing static page file. I thought it had something to do with pagefile fragmentation as well. I'll assume you know more about this than me, but can you explain all...

    YAPT: Need Power Supply Advice

Dual rails is not a necessary feature, it's just a different way of supplying power. Two smaller sources vs one big source. The special connectors are nice to have, but adapters work just as well. I'd say keep your current power supply. If you ever decide to add a second video card...

About month ago I sent a letter... (Consoles)

You're not an idiot. I don't think the newpaper writer will particularly care, so it's likely a wasted effort showing him anything. The claims that the Cell will be much better than a Pentium D 3.4 Ghz in general processing is very unlikely though. Clsoe to impossible. For specific...

What size page file w/2GB RAM?

No matter how much RAM you have, you'll still need a pagefile, but it won't need to be as big most likely. I'd say have it around 1GB, but make it 1GB min and max, that way it doesn't dynamically change sizes while doing heavy tasks - that could slow down performance.
