I agree with most everything Milleron said about the P180. I love it. Although it is a bit bigger than I had imagined; but its so well designed that I don't mind. The only thing that bothered me...
Dell 2405 FPW if you want to go big. Fast pixel response time, great colors, and very bright. It can be had for $850 if you look for the right coupon code.
Its more expensive to replace a graphics card than it is to nab more ram later. I would go with the better card (6600 GT) and upgrade your ram when you get the money.
