I am working on a Dell E1705 laptop with XP Home and 1gb of ram.
I have the network connections set to notify on the taskbar when disconnected and connected.
It has 2 NICs. The internal Broadcom 440x nic and the dell wireless nic.
There is no notification on the taskbar, nor are the...
I don't have EZ Flash 2 on my board. I had regular EZ Flash. I followed the instructions of my motherboard book. It found the floppy with the bios flash on it. It started beeping at me and wouldn't stop. I let it beep for about 5 minutes before rebooting. It never started flashing.
I also...
Is anyone else having problems?
I have an Asus A8N32-SLI motherboard.
I am using Asus Update v7.13.04
I am on bios 1009.
I tried updating the bios from the ASUS Update utility. It says no bios was found on the server.
I checked the Asus website. They have the A8N32-SLI Deluxe and...
Thanks.
I would have preferred to do a clean Win install but I just hooked the new one up as a slave, then used the WD tools to migrate from the old to the new. Took 20 mins, and no problem with the new drive so far.
OEM Drive, no setup disk.
I should be able to format the drive from within the windows set up. Why should I have to connect it up as a slave and format it through a fully running version of windows?
Currently I am running Win XP Home on a 36gb Raptor. I purchased a new 150gb Raptor.
I disconnected all hard drives. I attached the 150gb Raptor on SATA 1. Raptor does not have any jumpers on it.
I boot from a legit XP Home cd. I insert my SATA driver disk. It goes through the start up...
Well, Albany NY got 3 feet of snow last night. MS still sent an email saying they were aware of the weather but the event was still going on. No way I could have made it in to it with the roads the way they are (IE: not plowed).
Anyone happen to go to the Albany one today? How was the turnout?
Well I'm going on my day off.
the Public Sector session is from 8-12.
I signed up as an individual for the IT Executive track without any Government info but that is from 1-5. So I'm trying to figure out which one I should go to.
I registered for the Public Sector IT Track (IT Pro was full)
I am a government employee. My registration paper has my government agency listed as my employer.
Any way I can still get the free items? Do they just not give the gift bag to any government employees or what? I'm not sitting...
Neither are vented sidepanels which kinda makes me nervous about higher temps. I see the 121 has a duct to the back but I'm not sure that will fit over the SI-120 and Panaflo.

Highly recommend AGAINST this as they will try to FORCE you to sign a membership. Whatever you do, do not give them any billing info or even a correct phone number. They will hound you.
I am in Upstate NY, and have coworkers who lived in rural parts. One person was a half a mile from a house with RR. They quoted him $2k to run poles and wiring to his house. The other person went with satellite.
Road Runner will install lines to your house, but you will have to pay for EVERYTHING. It will probably cost you $2,000+ for them to run the wiring and poles to your house.
Sybex books are usually good. A few of their books leave out topics covered on the test, but as far as theory they are good.
If you want a normal book explained in plain fvcking english, get the MSCE all in one book from Osbounre publishing. That is the same series as Mike Meyers A+ and Net+...
TestKing PDF's that they sell are the ACTUAL test questions with answers. That is why new versions come out almost weekly with updated questions. People who use testking are papercert cheaters and give the people who put time and effort into getting a cert a bad name.
If you have a router then setting up a home network with filesharing should work.
If you just have 2 pc's, you CANNOT just hook up a patch cable from NIC to NIC, you need a Crossover cable in order to do that.
